How were the controls?

Is it the standard FPS for a comp? (using a keyboard) Move (strafe) with arrow keys, control direction (recticle) with the mouse?

I usually remap my keys from the arrow keys, I can't stand having my left hand (arrow key hand) reaching under my right hand (mouse).

So i use WEQS to move (W=forward, E=right Q=left S= down) and A and D to strafe

I usually have to reposition the keyboard (tilting at one hell of an angle towards me) or it gets really uncomfortable.

Why would your left hand reach under your right hand if your KB is on the left and your mouse on the right?

I think it is the fact that the two hands would be so close together that it would cause a problem...... or he uses a laptop.

I always remap for WASD or ESDF. I kinda like ESDF because then I have the A and Q key for my pinky with a different action... I usually use stuff that I use a lot.. like zoom or some such.

I had a guy in my Tribes 2 tribe with the screwiest controls ever. He had like mouse 1 as move forward mouse 2 as move back and like q and w as left and right. Screwed up guy :ugh:

Not a big fan of mIRC or Trillian. I gotta try and find a small simple program that allows to connect to IRC. mIRC = too much crap just for 1 chat room. :)

btw at the time I played you could either use wasd or the arrows, your standard forward/backward/strafe deal.

You will be able to rebind keys in the final ;)

Dio, to explain why my hands would reach under and all that junk:

I have 2 comp montitors (a 19" and a 17", 19" is on the right, it's my gaming comp monitor) on my comp desk. The comp desk is EXTREMELY small, so they are up right next to each other, leaving JUST enough room for a mouse for both comps. Then, one keyboard for one comp is wedged infront of the comp (my non-gaming comp) and the other keyboard is on a slideout tray thingy on my comp desk. When I use the arrow keys, my left hand has to be under my mouse hand because of the tray...so I had to remap =)

Im using ZGHJ (or YGHJ on american keys)
oh and I use right mouse button for moving forward. So I can run and type/use special things if I wish.

By the way: Who is useing 3 fingers on his mose ? I heared that most use only 2 and operate the mousewheel with their left mousebutton finger (really stupid I think).

I have 5 buttons on my mouse, any game that allows it - i use them all. And I use my left finger to use the scroll wheel

I have a 5 button mouse as well and use my index finger on the left button, and my middle finger for the wheel and the right button. My thumb controls the two other buttons on the side. :)
