View Full Version : TK'ing at the CC solution?

After countless threads on ppl talking about being team killed at the command console for BEP's, here is my solution.

They take friendly fire off in the CC room. That way, you can't kill someone in your empire in that room.

Thoughts?

Then it's too easy to keep someone out, all you have to do is :spam: with grenades or rockets. You are supposed to have to worry about fighting in such a small area.

Ya, its also nesecary sometimes.

Youll come in, you whole squad, plow thru all these defenses and enemy troops, finaly get in the CC and see some lame ass stealther hacking it by himself, thats when u get your scatter MAX to pop him and you take the hack lol. Creul but fair, all that work just to have some 14 year old stealth "Ub0rh4X0r" steal the cap from me and my squad is lame, and I won't stand for it damnit.:)

When you command, you see it a bit differently hehe;)

That lone hacker has all the right in the worls to hack it. If your squad is good then hack it first, if not too bad you will still get BEP from it, and if thats not good enough for you there are 50 other bases you can go hack.

I always thought that it might be a good idea if everyone in the Sphere of Influence got experience, that way the lone Hacker taking all the credit for himself wouldn't happen.

The devs should just set it so that if you are hacking an enemy base, you can't be TK'ed. Simple as that.

Tho there might be the occasional TK to prevent someone else from hacking it, but I don't see how you could stop that.

Yea....your a lone hacker.

I totally agree with killing lone hackers, just after certain steps.

First invite them into your squad, this can solve alot of problems.
If they are in a squad, ask to join theres (many hacker squads are very small). If they decline, kill them before they finish and take the hack.

If they finish, wait untill there is only 20 seconds left then waste him. That way hes dead when the cap goes and he gets nothing for whoring. You should still get assist exp.

If someone beats me to the hack that's fine by me. I don't care how hard I might have fought to get there. I'll just turn around and guard the guys back. All you team killers chasing BEPs and acting like leveling wh@res will get a taste of your own medicine if I catch you.

It sounds to me like everyone thinks that if your squad does not hack the base, then you don't get BEP, which is simply NOT THE CASE.
Regardless of who hacks the base, if you are in the sphere of influence when that control console is hacked YOU WILL GET BEP.

Now the devs have yet to make it so that the commanders will get CEP for being in the sphere of influence right now, which is simply the point people should be arguing about instead of people complaining about TKing in the control room.

The problem with giving all the commanders cep is that then you get outfits simply pairing up, squads of 2, and then half of there outfit will be commanders. Lame.

It just raise a delicate point: How can you say, when you're fighting inside a base and see a hacker in the CC, that he's alone? It's very possible to have 2 squad inside a base without them encountering each other...

well, if you made it all commanders withen a range of the cc room when it is captured, I think that it would owrk, sure you would still have it easier to get cps but then you just have to make the #s of cp pts you need for advancing higher

How bout we all just get along and go have a beer?
The phantom hacker thing sounds pretty gay (yes, I'm NOT a beta tester). Invite him to join your squad, if he doesn't then blow his brains out. :sniper:
Its all for the good of the empire :ncrocks:

oh and by the way
:wantbeta: :wantbeta: :wantbeta: :wantbeta: :wantbeta:

Everyone in the CC room get the BEP and all the commanders get CEP if in the CC room when it gets hacked. That way if you come in on a lone hacker you set up defenses and protect him cuz he can probably hack it faster thatn you can. Everyone is happy.

but who are you to say that he/she didnt fight their way in..

and most of the problems with it, they are in a squad, and both fight their way in, then 1 side decides they did *more* of the work, and kills the other group that got there 1st...

He may be a lone hacker, but you are a traitorous teamkiller.

First off let me say I KNOW you get BEP:) But you don't get CEP, even if you invite the hacker after he hacked the base.

Anyone have some opinions on this? Do you think the lattice system will lessen or make worse the problem of the lone hacker? In other words, does fixing the phantom hacker problem help or hurt the lone hacker problem?

I'm not sure since I'm not in beta.

It could make TKing in the CC room a bigger problem since more focus will be certain bases, so now there will most definately be more than one squad trying to take over a base (Maybe entire same empire squad vs. squad wars in a CC room  ).

On the other hand, maybe the lone hacker problem was really only at the remote bases where there wasn't much defense in the first place, and the lattice system will mostly eliminate those undefended bases, and maybe do away with this problem.

It seems to me like they try and fix one thing and then that fix brings up another issue. But I have faith in the devs and I think that the phantom hacker as well as TKing in the CC room will be taken care of.

Also, the platoons haven't even been implemented yet. This might help too. Cuz squads attacking one base could link up and then whichever squad hacks it, the rest of the platton gets it too.
This is how platoons will work right?
