The Starfire is the first MAX I plan on being certified for and I was wonder what people who use or have used it think of it. Any tips on how to use the Starfire more effectivly in combat would also be appreciated. You know how quick can it take out a reaver or mosquito? Is it good enough against infantry for me to try and stand my ground or should I stick to air targets and run if I see infantry? Is it underpowered? Stuff like that. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks :)

well its got a small clip. 6 bullets which fire pretty fast. You can take out aircrafts pretty good. Infantry you can take out if ur strategic becuase remeber, you only have 6 bullets before u reload.

Its good, too good right now as you can shoot five shots AWAY from the air craft THEN put your cursor over the air vehcile and then all the shots will come flying back form wherever you shot them first, and hit the plane. so I guess unless you cant aim this is a good max.

So does the striker... no difference in that...

The anti-aircraft MAX units are generally the most useless in actual play, just to warn you.

well from what he said it is made for taking out aircrafts. no reason to use it on infantry.

Why are AA MAX's so useless? Because if they are almost dead....the pilot rams his accelerator and rams the MAX!!! :D

AA MAX is VERY useful, if in a squad. It can take out a skeeter with 5 about shots. Reavers in about 2 clips. And hitting them is easy due to lock on feature.

But what about when the reaver gets hit...spins and unloads a salvo of rockets upon the anchored TR MAX?

im a reaver pilot and i have never lost to a VANU star-wussy MAX, i always get shotdown by AV missles and such. A salvo of rockets in a MAXes arse always does the trick...

Oh yeah, i still own the skies!!!

how do you 'own the skies'? can you show me the deed? cause i'm gonna be playing 'reposesser' later, and i'd like to know what to take back. I will no let the Terran republic have air-superiority.

Dark then either

1- You're doing the usual "I'm l33t" net BS that most people do
or
2- You haven't met a competent Starfire MAX. I was all alone a few nites ago in my Starfire and i took out 3 Reavers side by side without dying and manage to take out a few more before going down.

Now that they have the matrix system inplace I would bet that it would be a very good idea to have 2-4 AA MAX patroling the perimiter of the base with a little infantry support, and all the turrets the base has be manned. (No Galaxy could make it in that)
