Fileplanet subscribers can now download Planetside. I have an account but i already have the beta cd's. but it's 60$ for a year of fileplanet. you get planetside beta and i'd say it's worth it to buy the membership anyway. so anyone willing to fork over cash for the beta, here you go :)

I never understand why people hated fileplanet so much. I sign up the first month they started charging and have never regretted it. I get incredible download speeds (1.6MB/s at work and 250KB/s at home), and they always mirror the various downloads that might be popular. Overall, it's a great bargain. And now I'm downloading PS!

I'm actually dying to get the beta. I want it so badly but I hate file planet so much. I applied for beta and the few websites taht are giving away... so crossing my fingers. Maybe someone who already has it also has file planet and would like to share :D:D maybe not... just wishful thinking.

Most of us hate FP becuase there little elite group of subscribers get things that everyone else should get. It's enough money going out paying for your internet subscription, any MMO games, and then they are making you pay for files that should otherwise be free of charge. I think not. Let's face it, Gamespy is just a cash hungry mega corporation, just like all the other corporations in the United States.

Is it worth however much FilePlanet are charging for one month of their subscription (around $7.99 I think) to be able to play the PlanetSide beta??

(I am not sure if I should go for it so that I can play PlanetSide even though it is currently only in beta.) Especially since there seem to be rumours that a public beta will be available soon...

I guess the Beta testers would goto TR because they are the "old school" trying to maintain the old ways.
Fileplanet guys goto the Vanu since we D/L it, utilizing technology vers. the post office.
And the Borrorwers goto the NC because the went to their "friends" house and said something like "I'm here to liberate that CD or I'll give you wedegie", enforcing their way through firepower.

I'm pretty sure DL managers don't work on Fileplanet

Trust me, I tried to do the same thing with the AC2 beta
