The new incentive for defense is rather silly. I plan on taking a rather defensive role--at least part time--with my combat engineer/medium assault character (Alai on the server formerly known as citrine) but in order to get the bonus xp we have to mess up and let the attackers actually hack the console:confused: . I don't have a better solution really, since how else can one tell a base is under attack? Yet, it just seems a bit wierd that you have to let the attackers break through, and then re-cap a base.:p

yah ... Maybe they should have like a sensor or somethin heh like that counts how many enemys are in a base and if u kill them u get defense points, i donno if this is possible but just a idea=X

I don't think it is meant to be an incentive to defend--just an incentive to rehack. We'll see how it plays out. With the lattice system, defense incentives may not be needed, because the really boring bases will be uncappable and the frontline bases...will be exciting.

Yeah, but if a convoy finds it cannot take a base....it will move to a more isolated, less important base in order to get a stronghold.
