What empire to join?

I was currious what motavated players to pick their empire?
You like their politics?
You like their weapons?
Their name?
Their color?
What made you join?

Im gonna have to say i joined the NC b/c my fav color is blue, and i love the Vangaurd. Also the idea that we get a TV guided missle was right up my ally.

I like TR colors, but I don't like the design of the prowler and their history.
I find NC colors ok, and I like the vanguard.
I like the VS Lancer, but I don't like their vehicles.

I'll play a little with the 3 empires once the game is released before I make a definitive choice, but I think I'll go for NC.

I chose Terrans for a few reasons, mainly:

Equipment - I like their MAX's the best, and their rapid-fire weaponry. I also really like the sight of a few Prowlers rolling into battle (preferably when I'm supporting THEM)

Colour scheme - The VS look alright, but the NC look like a militant branch of the bananas in pyjamas. *watches the bad joke fly over people's heads*

But, uh yeah.. red and black galaxies = yay.

Story - I like being the badguys-but-not. We're just misunderstood!

So, yeah. Thats why I chose TR. Personal preference I guess.

I chose Terran primarily because of their history. While a little bit of oppression might upset the hippies, nobody really cares about hippies anyway, so they're A-OK in my opinion.

I also like their colour scheme compared to the other Empires, and their weapons. Nothing quite like spewing out round after round from a mini-chaingun, no sir.

And, yeah, Terran vehicles look excellent in red and black.

I have to say, That all of the colors pown. The Vanu are so glossy, Congs are l33t at high BR, and TR... how an you not like black and red. Out of empires specific rifles, I prefer the gauss (NC). TR buggy owns though. In the end I have to say I like them all equally and only play Vanu right now because the character on that server has the highest BR.If you want a suggestion, I would go with NC.

Well looks and politics aside, I think I'll need to play some of each empire before I settle down.
I like the VS energy weapons, thats just cool.
But I like the TR high rate of fire, just hosing targets.
But the idea of the NC large bore guns that do so much damage.
How hard is it to switch empires?
Oh only 29min left to DL.

I chose NC because of their weapons, the Enforcer, and their colors. I may try TR, just to check out some of their weapons, but I'm not too fond on their colors. I don't think I'll ever play VS. I'd feel all dirty... you know... like the kind of dirty even a bleach bath doesn't clean?

I'd pick NC for all of the above.....their history sort of sounds like the American history when they were fighting back in 1776, but now we have aliens and tanks and Boomerz!

The NC weapons pwn! The Phoenix's TOW missile could be steered up someone's @$$ and they wouldn't know where it came from!

The NC color scheme is good, especially on BR 12 where you get the blue with yellow stripes on the arms, makes it look like the military ranking stripes.

The NC vehicles also pwn! Those buggies with missile launchers will be the Prowlers' bane.

Same here, but most of the decision was made by their history.

Giving 2 points for each 1st, 1 point for each 2nd, and 0 for each third, the rankings were thusly:
VS were third at 4 points
TR were second at 8 points
And NC won with 10 points.

Or maybe I just said to myself, "Ya know, those NC seem pretty badass," and made excuses for why.

HA. VANU RULES ALL. Btw energy weapons are awesome and i think when this game progresses people are actually going to be using the vanu's mobility and speed MUCH more to their advantage... if they're smart that is.:D

I chose Vanu because they are badass looking , they look all alien like, and the teal greenish stuff fits them, because its alien, did you ever say the Covenent on halo look like a bunch of slimy barneys with fireworks? NO, they were badass! The Vanu are like the human branch of the covenent, kind of, well, not really, but, were like alien kinda and stuff, and well... GO VANU! PEACE! DHARKBAYNE OUT!

TR. The colors and the heavy buggie that looks like a 4x4. Then also all te big guns and MAXs. And the goggles are fine, it gives a rather touching look.:p

All things being equal, and their supposed to be, but being MMOG vet I know they seldom are, the balance of power just keeps shifting in an order to maintain a semblance of balance, I choose the TR. I choose them based on their colors...there I said it, so go ahead and slap me! I only ask however that when the game goes live you give me ample oppritunity to respond in kind with my cycler, if I should find you sporting the Vanu, or NC colors! :)
