4 different videos of homeworld 2 coolness. Sound effects could use some work tho...

Too bad the resolution sucks so much.

Nice movies, even if you don't see much. The capital ship in the fourth movie look even bigger than the mothership in Cataclysm.

Think fully 3d movement in space. You build and control a fleet from your mothership. Frigates, cruisers, destroyers, fighters, corvettes, etc.

Easily one of the best games of all time, yet so few have heard of it. :(

thats the thing that always pisses me off about space/sims/programs

everything seems to fly on a magical "plane"

nothing ever attacked the enterprise from above or below... if they did they would be screwed...

its always losing the forward shields or the rear shields...

one hit to the top or bottom and bang... no 30+ series's's's and 1,0,,,00000,0,0 of movies

It is if you like RTS games. And I don't think it costs very much these days.

It's kinda hard to explain tho, you'd need to see it for yourself. Watch the videos. :)

Homeworld is a great game, with only 2 drawbacks:

1/ The game is old, so today it's getting hard to find a multiplayer game.

2/In the campaign, you start a mission with the units you had at the end of preceding mission. It's a good thing, but the direct consequence is that the difficulty allow only one strategy to win. You must capture as many enemy ships as possible. I didn't managed to go after half the campaign without capturing a lot of ships...

Homeworld won't cost you more than $10 and I can direct you to where you can find games.

Of all the RTSs I have played (and I am a big RTS fan) Homeworld was the one that required the most strategy. That game ruled.

BTW thanks for the link to the movies.
