Whats the cost of death? do you lose anything important or can u just gear up again and enter the fray? Is it easier to defend or attack? How many MAX's make up an average force, and are there many normal infantery?

I'd like to know because I get the feeling there's really no punishment in getting killed, u just respawn and go at it again. The only nuisance is when the AMS is taken out; then the squad has to go all the way back to the base.
If this is true then I have a suggestion to make:
What if gearing up at the AMS required energy? then the AMS would have to be charged up before an attack and equipping weapons at the AMS would require a certain amount of energy or what do you call it,NSU's? the amount of energy would be based on the type of weapon/armor where basic weaponry would require hardly any energy. that would make people more careful about being killed and would ensure even more tactics being used. this is only logical if it's easier as an attacking force of course.
this would slow down the pace of the game a bit but after all this is not quake or unreal is it?
or is this just utter nonsense? The major problem I would see is BIG battles would be a problem unless u take an ANT along.

what do the beta's think of this idea?
and for a final note seeing all those screenies is like presenting food to a dog, I just can't wait to see the actual game
It would require a major upgrade to my system, but as I will already be spending loads on it (for a students budget) its not a big issue.
so, thats my two cents and I hope to see you guys in the retail (I'm from Europe so no beta for me I gather)

A.)The Cost of Death: You only have a certain amount of things you can buy in a certain amount of time. Example MAXs: MAX suits you can buy on a 5 min timer. So if you buy one, walk out and get waxed right away, you have to wait 4 mins to get another one. The same goes for vehicles. Regular Weapons and Armor have no time limits, so you can keep up with these continuously.
B.) Generally, it is easier to defend.
C.) Seeing as most transports can only hold 2 MAXs, it is the general belief that this is the designated per squad amount.
D.) You can't buy MAXs at AMSs. This sux. You can buy all the weapons and armor there EXCEPT MAXs.
E.) Considering the above, I think that your proposal would be a bit too tough on the attackers. The defenders, who are in a base, get the benefit of purchasing Vehicles and MAXs which are unavailable at the AMS purchasing station once you respawn there. If you implemented that an AMS would not be able to be powered unless accompanied by an ANT, you would be gauranteeing that people would only stage base attacks from Towers, which never need be powered, than AMSs.
