So from what I have read of all the FPS so far Halo is the best. But the PC version is going to suck. NS is an Ok mod I rarely play it. Ive been playing HL sence Day one.

*shrug* I dislike FPS's on consoles.
I've played almost every FPS, starting from the DOOM days and i've developed that "I gotta have a mouse" attitude towards aiming.
I can never use the controller very well or fast enough to enjoy FPS's on consoles without taking a lot of time to get used to them. Although I can relate to the HALO fans from the hours and hours i played of old school n64 Goldeneye.

I'm the complete opposite, I hate PC based FPS'. I prefer a game pad, never bought a joystick for my PC, in my experience there has'nt been a game good enough to buy one, in my opinion. However I'm definatly getting one with PS being released soon.

ever since the duel analog controller was created ive hated the mouse... btw, could u hook up a duel analog to play ps on, i know u can do the joystick, just curious about a controller
It's a well known fact that the Mouse & Keyboard combo is far superior to any gamepad. :D
hehe I just cant imagine playing games like DoD, CS or really any online shooter with a gamepad.
Even though the controls for Halo (and Metroid Prime) were great and easy to use, they still felt kinda bogged down and 'muddy' to me.
On a slightly different note, am I the only person on the planet that actually liked the original XBox pad? I always heard 'it's too damn big' and 'grr this thing weighs a ton' etc.
I loved that thing though... fit my hands perfectly and it didnt feel like it was going to break if I looked at it wrong :scared:

Nope you're not.. I'm 6'5" and have huge hands, I love the original controller.
And I agree, M+K is just simply superior to gamepad. My reasoning, if I want to quickly turn 180, I move my mouse all the way to the right, and I'm there, instantly. If I want to turn 180 on Halo, yeah it's just not gonna happen quickly. Gotta hold and wait.
I think that's one reason why Halo PC players won't be able to game against Halo xbox players (and I'm sure there are many others too). PC players would simply wipe the floor with gamepad users.
At least, in my opinion :)

I never had any complaints about the Xbox controllers. Everything just...fit. I dont have big hands or anything either, its just i could reach the buttons i needed without changing my hand position unlike N64 where everyone held the controller differently and no one could reach everything.
Oh, and if you havnt noticed, most console FPS games have a slight auto aim to help gameplay. This is non existant in M+K games like PS, CS, and BF1942. If you dont believe me start a deathmatch up in halo, stand a buddy across from you and have him slowly strafe one direction. *note* doesnt work with sniper rifle, and is more noticable if zoomed to 2x with the pistol.
Thats one thing i wish PS had. A kick ass pistol like halo :D
