Arghhh cant get used to AP/Normal rounds

OK, been playing for 4 hours, I cannot get to grips with AP and normal rounds. On soft targets like soldiers with agile armor etc (low end armor) I would be right in using the normal rounds? for tougher armor like reinforced/max/vehicles AP should work?

does this sound right in gameplay terms? at the moment I am a complete n00b, I go around unloading magazine after magazine of normal munitions into max's and the like.

Also I am atm unable to distinguish between the types of armor :( suppose its battle experience. The only successes I have had so far is killing standard inf, and a few stealthers who I have spotted by their tracer fire

If it looks like a human shoot it with regular rounds... If it's a vehicle or looks like a Robot, or a dude in a Robot Suit (MAXs) use AP rounds... and remember, pistols don't do much damage either way with AP rounds, so if you really wanna go after a max or a vehicle with AP rounds... use a rifle. :) Other than that, happy hunting! :)

well if ya htink about it AP rounds should kill lighter infantry faster... it makes more sense, but they decided that they would make ya switch between ammo.... why i dunno.... AP should work for everything really. also if i untrain some Cert points, do i get to spend them in another cert?

yes you get to spend them on another cert, and then you can't unlearn another cert for 24 hours.

I unlearned both my MAX certs to get AV and reinforced armor with my primary char.
