And I played it for about 6 hours lastnight and loved every second of it. Just letting my excitement out as I am at work and have Planetside fever.

I have a few questions, anyone please care to comment:

#1 - Ping times to the servers avilable seems a bit high for my cable connection, 160-200ms. Is this average for everyone and does anyone know if its just because its the beta servers or whatnot?

#2 - My mouse seems to have a slight delay when I use it in mouse pointer mode. Is this normal? If not can I do anything to make it less laggy?

#3 - What things can I change (in game and out) to improve the performance of the game when in larger battles? I noticed a sevear slowdown when in these situations.

My system specs, if anyone needs for reference to the questions:

P4 - 1.6ghz
1GB RAM
64MB nVIDIA GEFORCE2 MX w/TV Out

1. Yes the lag is normal, and thank you for knowing the difference between lag and FPS slowdowns.

2. Happens to everyone, you can turn off "Mouse Smoothing" to help a bit, but the mouse sticking you get seems to happen when you go over items right? I just got used to it...

3. Your graphics card is your primary problem, a Geforce2 MX is really not enough horsepower to render a 100 vs 100 battle. If you are looking for a cheap upgrade, a Geforce4 Ti4200 with 128 megs of ram can be had for under $150 I believe.

Most the other people that I asked about my graphics card reffered me to some ATI 9500 Pro or whatever card ..... $200-300 card that I dont have the money for. $150 or less sounds much better to me.

The mouse drag problem I see is usually when there is most noticeable on the screens when I'm picking which server to play on and character creation. Normally in game it doesent have that much drag unless I'm looking out across a large open area or a base.

I'll check into this Geforce4 Ti4200 card.

Thanks again.

One thing, while shopping for a new graphics card please stay away from the Geforce4 MX line, it is a trick, those are not even the Geforce4 core. There would be very little benifit for you to upgrade to a GF4 MX.

... can you refer me to a graphics card that is more suitable then?

Check out buy.com or pricewatch.com. If you are looking for cheap, you are not going to get good customer service. I have never had a problem buying from Pricewatch companies, but some have, so buy at your own risk...
