so what's your favourite non darklight implant

mines advance regeneration- medical cert without spending the 3 points :D

I loved Adv Regen, but I switched to Darklight and Surge now. Ever since I got adv hacking I have rarely had a time that I was left alive and had the chance to sit still for 30 seconds to regen my health, it is usually more efficient to get to an equipment terminal/AMS and hack it if needed then get med kits there.

Also I am thinking of trying out the NC heavy weapons soon, since that weapon is only good when you can get the gun right in the enemy's face, surge would help there too.

Surge is good for taking down MAXes, so I hear. I like Range Magnifier too much to switch.

Yea range magnifier works great for taking down people near the towers where you can get stand back and snipe em.

How is the Shield in Combat anyway, it seems to take away stamina really fast, when just activate it without getting hit.
Does it differ from Rocktes, AP and normal?

I just got the special weapons cert, i use that mini rocket launcher, it ownz. i love that thing. i only got to play with it for like 15 mins last night before i had to sleep but i took down a Vanu max all alone with the alt fire :-O

but for me second implant (i'm br10) i'm going to snag surge or adv. regen. i'm also considering range mag. even though i don't have a sniper, so that i can see who's who from far away and i won't grief thinking that my guys are vanu.

actually, I dont like darklight.... not that many use it actually...

I find that 9 times out of 10 the inf people are killed and no one even knew they were there, they just were in the wrong place at the wrong time...

I tried to use darklight and I kept getting killed by the non invs people....

Last night I saw 6-7 go down in a hallway fight from either our NC AI max or their TR AI max when they were shooting at a norm guy, and the invs guys were just caught in their cof...

The only time it is really good is when you are sitting in the CC waiting for an enemy... but thats about it... no one I know activally has it on when wondering around a base or on the field, it would be suicide

I use range mag and my NC AV max, nothing is better than a sniper max :p

I don't have darklight, don't want it. I don't come against stealthers enough for it to matter, and I usually kill them regardless...


Sooo, I have regen as my first implant. It has saved my ass. I killed someone with 2 hp left. Yeah, that close. And I can take a breather and heal up in between fights.

I'm BR10, so getting close to next implant. I considered second wind, would work well with my regen. I've also considered adv targetting to see health of enemies. Surge is another big one. Running in reinforced armor can take a long time.

I play CC defense alot so i have darklight. Ill usually flip it on and off at certain places just to make sure there arent any stealthers there. If i didnt have it i would swear there was always one following me .. im just like that. :scared:

On the other side, i love finding a stealther crouched down and the pretending i dont see them. :D

For my second i think i will try personall shield. Dont really have any weapons that are good at range (TR HW/AV grunt) and i rarely need to run from base to base, etc. If a MAX gets close to me im usually dead anyways. AV is much better at range.

I have Surge (god I love this implant) and Advanced Targeting. AT is nice because while crouching it uses no stamina which is perfect for sniping and it also uses no Stamina in vehicles (nice for reaver piloting). No idea what I'll go with for my third, probably either personal shield or range modifier since I carry at least 2 medkits on all my loadouts.
