I take a lot of screenshots while playing in PS, and they all come out .bmp (of course, best quality.) However, when I use MS Paint (winxp allows this) to save them as .jpg's, the images get slightly distorted. Does this happen with EVERY conversion like this, or is it microsoft's way to trying to make you use .bmp?

I'm looking for a free program that will convert the images at the best possible quality. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Yeah, converting sucks. I wished it saved as.jpg but it doesn't. BTW, that distortion happens alwaysalthough I just notice that some colours are screwed up like yellow but not too much else. Stick with paint as there's no difference that I cansee when I use toher programs

I use ACDSee too.. but not for my screenshots..

I use Photoshop "Save for web" - best jpeg compression/quality I've ever seen.

Best thing about this is you can choose the quality of your JPG AND it can do ALL your screenshots at once.
