i tried to get a blend of purple to work with that background image(even darkened the background image), couldnt get 2 purples to work together =/

Should have put an outer glow on all the purple text, make the outer glow teal to futher go with your empire.

yeah outer glow is always good to highlight text, or use a texture on it with a different colour (like on the text on my sig), i had trouble gettin blue on blue with this....

DioT, i love the pic you made for propoganda in order to get recruits into the Vanu. Just a thought, but maybe try finding a pic that shows a battle scene and use that to say "we are ready to fight" or "we've already engaged the enemy after THEY declared war".. :doh: was never good at propoganda.

Anyway.. just a thought.

SandTrout.... there like.. not ONE good Vanu vehicle shot other then the 'display' pictures, i wanted an 'action' scene =p and this is like the only good one


and it's not easy to get colors to stand out on brigher images, i even dimed the image 60% toward black(reduced opacity on the picture with a black background behind it making the entire picture darker)... and still couldnt get images to stand out...

and yes, it's an agile suit helmet =p the stealth helmet looks horrible, and you gotta examine it somewhat closely to point that out =p If i wanted to put more time into it i would have matched the purples... but... was just for fun =p



again, working with ONLY WHAT IS PROVIDED... (no VS max).. I came up with this: IF.. there aws ONE good large shot of a VS max i would have used it, but outa my movies i have & what is provided on PSU & the official PS pages, there's not one good shot of a VS MAX.. so.. If i had one i would have placed them there.. Sorry the Planetside dev's are spending time making the vanu more uber and not releasing more vanu pictures =p

And showing their heavy armor's also could imply they are fearing us =p Personally I'd MUCH rather have huge intimidating Vanu tanks on one sig of my signature... but there ARE no good shots, soon as i find one i'll be sure to thow it in, with a few broken tanks on the enemies side =)

not that vanu suit/weapon signatures are bad... just.. i like to have mine different =p I havnt really -noticed- any vanu signatures since they are all mostly alike =p so the 'signature' is just like 2 different people writting "john doe", don't identify you ;-P

bull! bull! Again the Un- War-educated civilian runs in yelling what he thinks is right....


propaganda leaflets were fired from artillary, droped by airplane, and shouted over bull horns at the axis powers during WW2, and was very, very successful...

enemy units would surrender to the allies, walking up with their hands in the air, holding the piece of paper that said "safe passage garunteed"(the leaflet), and would surrender, be questioned, and in many cases enemy positions revealed....

Due simply to these leaflet propagandas, hidden enemy mortor/artillary locations were given, responsable for DOZENS of LIVES taken over the course of DAYS, and eliminated in LESS THAN an hour....

If you don't know the subject dont go spreading your 'beliefs'.. Propaganda on enemy soldiers was an EXTREMELY effective and commonly used tactics in the MAJOR wars, the only timse propaganda doesnt -as- well is because of 'set' disagreements(vietnam, democracy vs. communism--harder to get enemies to surender... but ww1/2, desert storm, other battles where the 'people' dont commonly suppot the leader... propaganda works VERY well... 1 less soldier ont he enemies side, Plus the locations of enemy is ALWAYS good...)


That said, you can't "change sides" once you start playing in Planetside, but I'm fighting for people to change sides before the war ;-P
