On any continent, all the facilities SOI color is always white. These facilities have power and are inhabited, but they are always white, making it very hard to see what bases are owned by who. (I have to zoom up and look at the empire symbol thats inside the SOI)

The Legend for the map is also white when I first bring it up, until I click on it then the color is restored.

Does anyone know whats going on or how to fix this? I have yet to find someone with the same prob

I have no clue how the hell you're even getting the game to run. It is so time for a new vid card. A GeForce 4 or Radeon 9500 would serve you fine (both can be had for around $150.)

you guys sure I should get a new vid card? I asked this question on the forums at planetside.com and they said I should upgrade my RAM.

The problem is I can only afford one or the other, im running outa cash =(

The game can run, I just cant be in any large engagements, my role is usually limited to piloting a dropship, dropping troops off and defending a tower until the base is capped.

That's IT. That's it, I no longer understand Planetside AT ALL. How a Rage 128 runs it while a Radeon 7000 does not is beyond me. You hear that, SOE? Beyond. Me.

*ahem*

Anyway. If the game is running, then try a RAM upgrade, because that is rather shallow. But really, it is time for an upgrade on both fronts when you can.

Both are going to be low-end bottlenecks. I highly suggest going with Vid card though as it will remove visual anomolies.
