The first day...

I'm following the news, forums and such for a long time now,
but I still don't know so sure what 'my' empire would be...

I just mean, there is no place where you can actually
compare the VS with the TR, the TR with the NC and the NC with the VS!

So I want it to be this place; I want people here to defend
their own empire, the empire they think of joining or already playing in; there are 3 things now you must react on:
1) VS sux!
2) TR sux!
3) NC sux!

Everyone who is going to join one of those (hehe...) react here,
say it isn't so with arguments, that would make much clear!

Well , here goes my opinion :p

I'm joining to the New Conglomerate just because i like their history . I suggest you to go official website and check about all factions and their history , objetives etc .

Some time ago i planned to join Terran Republic because they were so popular , their weapons were cool ...

Now i am joining New Conglomerate , just because i can't imagine me wearing that red armor and fighting for killing the supposed " traitors " , nah , i like best the role of the typical " Fight for Freedom " .

Anyway , i don't care about weapons cause i am going Common Pool ( for the moment )

IMO the TR and VS seem the koolest,
i just mean, TR is simply kool and VS are still
the badguys, but their purple color, that's gay :p
NC are the badguys, but they seriously look like the goodguys,
they look like the US in Iraq, and the Iraqi army has seriously
better clothes then the US special forces ^^

Nono, i just like the vehicles very much of the TR,
they are like balanced to form little convoys with.
NC's vehicles also, but they don't look as strong as TR's vehicles.
The VS vehicles, those look like crap, i just mean this isn't star trek, it must look like war and to fight those vehicles, ok, kool but i never wanna be transported by such a ****ing vehicles!

So i'll propably go VS the first day, just to get used to what
they actually are. As long as i can get enought fun out of that,
as long as i can actually say i'm fighting for my kind of side,
as long as all of that happens, i'm going to be a VS-guy.

I think that will last one week or less, then i'll first join NC,
i'll propably stick there for longer, because they look most familiar
to the TR. And when i get really pissed by those sides, my next
stop is going to be the TR, i just like 'm, tho the newbies propably join TR always, and that makes it pretty sucky IMHO.

It might be a nice hint; join the side you HATE first, and the one you really want to be in the end, and you might have changed your mind about the VS :-) They aren't far as popular as NC or TR, but i suspect the experts to join it, the ones who are following PS for a pretty long time already, because you know, the text on the backside of the gamebox won't change your mind...

NC and VS are "badguys"? How is wanting to do your own shit without the oppressive hand of fascism on your shoulder bad? :D If anyone is evil on Auraxis, it's the vestiges of the Terran Republic, withholding information from the populace about the wormhole and attempting to control every facet of an individual's life.

Seriously though (I'll stop being a NC propagandist :p), I'd just check out the different faction's stories and (fighting) philosophies, and see which you like the best.

Hopefully, all the empires will be fairly balanced in the near future, so it'll just come down to where your friends are playing if they play the game already, or which empire suits your fancy the best.

the TR were the army in control on the planet, VS started to devlop stuff and they crashed wormhole (or something), then NC gone the other side and later they crash all into eachother, TR doesn't do shit meanwhile ^^

Started as TR with all the rest of the Noobs... then switched to VS to try it out and see if the whining was justified.

My outfit decided to play an Armoured Company... that being the case we play switched to NC in Beta, and probably NC in release.

(BTW you ever see 3 Vanguards supported by 6 Reavers and a few screening lightnings... that's us!)

If you like the idea of living in a world where people will shoot you for your shoes (or more likely food, after industry colapses) and you can't go anywhere unarmed, go NC, no laws, at all, total anarchy.

If you want to live in a world of genetically engineered mostrousities and possibly accidently destroying the universe go VS, scientific advancement with zero caution.

If you want to live in a decent ordered society where you can walk outside at night without being shot for a sandwich/run into your worst nightmare and have a ready supply of food go TR, order through force.

Or from the gameplay standpoint, if you like CQB go NC and get a Jackhammer. If you like long range combat go TR and get a Cycler. If you like to mess with peoples heads go VS and get a Lasher, if you know how to use it, it's the most devastating gun in the game.

Or play all the empires on different servers. I've found that I get the same ping to all of the US beta servers regardless of their location.

I mean, it's not like DAOC where you pick an empire and you're stuck levelling this big character. You can jump into any server and start kicking ass, day 1. I highly recommend it.

I wouldn't say that. I would say that nc has both very close quarters combat, and long range weaponry. When tr has very capable close range/medium weaponry. And vs... don't know enough about vs.

Btw how are the NC a CQCB race? Don't they have the Gauss? The Pheonix? I mean they do have the Jackhammer and Scatterpistol, but that's only two weapons.

I see it like this:

TR- They like it the way it is now.
actual benefits: Fastest weapons- get lead on target, plain and simple.

NC- They like it the way is was. a.k.a. Facisits.
actual benefits: Close quarters combat. Hardest hitting Tank(the big gun!)

VS- They like the way it will be(elitists)(sp?)
Actual Benefits: Acurate weapons, High Mobility MAX.


I joined TR..dunno why...just did. I'm used to it, but the lack of organization on TR is kinda sad, at least on Markov. NC has thier shit wired pretty tight and I always enjoy fighting them, even tho on most nights it is a losing battle. We perform a hasty retreat off cyssor on a daily basis. They cap and we fall back. It sucks. But I like the good fight, and being against the odds. I try to get soem squads orgasnized, but they all fall apart as there is no real organization on TR on markov in beta. The most recent wipe has all but made TR an apathetic empire until release, so we shall see how it goes on release. I know my outfit will be making strides to get some organization going on release, and I will enjoy pounding some NC and Vanu butts. ;):trrocks: :ncsucks: :vssucks:
