A question about Hackers for those in the know

With the higher levels of hacking, you can not only hack faster, but you can hack more things such as lockers and equipment terminals, right? My question is, if you hack a terminal, do the defenders get a notification? And if they do, do they get the notification when you start the hack, or when you finish? Just one of the various things that I have been wondering.

yea i find advanced hacking very useful and it will help your squad/faction alot. You can turn the tide of a battle by say sneaking up to a enemy AMS and jacking it. I think it is one of the better certs in the game and i hope you have fun with it.

Actually... does this mean that there is no notification of jacked vehicles? As much fun as I think that would be, I honestly think that you should know when your vehicle gets jacked. Oh well, only a couple weeks until I should be able to find out for myself

The owner of the vehicle gets notified when its jacked, but not by whom. No notification for terminals howver. Btw, off topic, love killing you on Markov, look forward to it in future hehe.

Yeah i as i said to Sputty tonite Engy and Hacking are definitetly the 2 most vital and important roles of a squad but sadly also the most "underpaid". I spent 2-3mins running around a base repairing the turrets the terms etc for no BEPs meanwhile the guys in the turrets and other grunts get 100+ for each kill.

I've hacked a term when i was out of everything. In an enemy spawn room. With the occupants of the soi spawning and loading out right next to me.

The kool (and not kool) thing about stealign vehicals is that even if you cant drive what you steal, the other guy has to have advanced hacking to get it back, if he doesn't, its gone hehe. I've had hackers deconstruct my lightning a few times while I'm inside carving out the people inside the base.

They should add some minimal amount of XP or some reward other than the "satisfaction of helping". It can be very costly and while important doesn't get you much.

nope, you have to be have the cert in that vehicle to be able to use it if you hack it. May be annoying to you, but hacking vehicles annoys the heck out of its owner :p

Obviously no, the hacker would become way too much of a threat.

actually, dio, you can. i've gotten booted out of my vanguard (as gunner) so many times by hackers that i swear i'm gonna get DL implants soon.

but, remember, if you are in your vehicle as driver and are moving around, hackers won't even consider coming near you in fear of becoming of roadkill.

Anybody else confirm that? Last i tried i couldn't, course it's been a while since i've used my h4x0rz, i just love my special assault guys too much. :D
