they take advertisements and stuff and shows sort of subliminal things hidden. much like how disney subliminally puts sexual content into their movies. its neat - and it even has some backwards songs with subliminal mesages.

I think this was already posted somewhere on these forums.
Nothing like a good reminding though. Watching it again just isn't as... shocking, if you will. ;)

Venom is one of my all time favroite bands. I've got something like 30 diffrent Venom albums counting picture disks and singles.
Live like an angel die like a devil,
Got a place in hell reserved for me,
Live like an angel die like a devil,
Gonna burn in hell that's where I'm gonna be

thats my AIM away message lol.
and its like,...my favorite venom song. they fucking rule.
i also like Schizoid....just the pauses in between lyrics makes the song so cool.
however, LLAA and Welcome to Hell are like 2 songs that no metal head should be without

In Flames (all cds but Clayman/Reroute to Remain...they are so weak)
Children of Bodom
Ensiferum
Witchery
Hollenthon
VENOM (A MUST HAVE NO MATTER WHAT)
Impaled Nazarene (i really only like the new one...Absence of War...)
Carpathian Forest (new cd, We're Going to Hell For This is amazing)
my brother listens to those and more....Nile, Vader, Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved etc...

oh... and for the explanation.
The "devil horns" symbol was originally started by Dio vocalist (duh) Ronnie James Dio.
i cant remember what he said about it....something about just started to do it some time...maybe something about his grandma or mom doing it for whatever reason....
and then after he started doing it in concerts it just caught on and its the standard metal symbol
Yeah it's true, i started it all.

not only a metal symbol, but also a punk symbol (punk is FAR better, its not synthesized like metal)

thats something i don't like about it. when you can hear the ambience coming from drums or the wimpyness of a guitar i just dislike it & have to turn it off. besides only nu metal is synthesized
Doobz
2002-12-18, 11:15 PM
wimpiness in the guitar? wtf are u talking about?
what i like about punk is it includes all the instruments, and doesnt tend to let any one instrument be drowned out by guitar with distortion so high you can't even tell theres a tune

heh i dunno.. it might just be me but synthesized guitars sound really hmm.. big and menacing. and punk guitar sounds are all tinny and strange. think of it like a huge ass deisel engine sound vs um.. a dirt bike

punk is more raw, they make it a point not to add many special effects, its generally what the amp allows, and i like that much better.
i like that

maaan the real problem with punk, to me, is that they can sing about love and hate and everything in between exact same speed and no true mix of flavor.

i think the problem you find with metal is what you "think" is metal
METAL IS NOT mudvayne, slipknot, static x, staind disturbed soad ad nauseum.
if it was on MTV in the last year its not metal.
