I dunno if that confirms it. I mean pretty much ANY game seller would realize they were gonna charge from 9.99-13.25. Therefore it could just be the high end guesstimation.

If your right, then thats going to suck. $13 is a little steep, especially when you consider the fact that the team doesnt have to worry about NEARLY as much shit as a MMORPG team.

I guess itll go like this. If PlanetSide and SWG are $10 a month, ill get both. If they are greater than $10, ill get PlanetSide only.

Well figure 13 x 3 = 29.00 and EB makes 1.00 per sale.

I think 12.95 is a far price as long as they keep the game supported well. But this is pretty good proof of the monthly cost. SOE would not let them over charge on a monthly fee of it would not be worth buying for anyone.

Is it possible that by purchasing a 90 subscription you�re actually getting a discount, so the month to month payment plan could be higher than $12.95?

I don't know how ther other MMO's do this, never been in a pay-to-play game before.

No from the sounds of it, it's for kids and a select few adults that have no credit cards. This makes the process of P2P easier for some.

Yeah, they usualy make you pay for atleast 3 months in advance when you pay by check or electronic check.

So far every MMOLG I have played has a similar payment schedule. It will most likely be like this:

12.95- 1 month recurring charge
11.95- 3 month recurring charge
10.95- 6 month recurring charge

There will most likely be something like this in place once you create your account, with your first month being free, of course.
I am not positive but I think this is the same pay scale as for DAOC and ENB.

Fun game but if a game ever needed to only cost $5/month...this should be the first.

The current standard is $12.95. It would be kind of nice of if PS was only $9.95 or something but its Verant and SOE they will prolly stick to the standard for the extra profit. At one time though there were talks of a combination price for multiple subscriptions to SOE games. Like if you pay for PS, SWG, and EQ2 you could get them all for say $30 a month. I think this would be a much more profitable system for them.

But generally I feel I'll be playing PS for about a year maybe. Hopefully updates/expansions etc will keep the game fresh and it will be worth playing longer than a year. But $3x12=$36 a yr is not gonna stop me from playing PS.

Didnt Gariott (spelling? ...the ultima guy...) say something along the lines of the $9.99 thing being a mistake, and that they could've gotten away with charging far more for UO? Like upwards of 40 bucks a month?

We should be glad it's only ~13 bucks... that's pretty cheap entertainment :)

$12.95 (USD) is like $18 (CAD) for me :(. I think they should charge minors less :(, since we cant get good jobs and we generally have less cash.
