a friend of mine who has 56k in beta doesn't have any more problems with lag than i do (although his connection will crap out more frequently than my high-speed, but that is his ISP's problem not Planetside's).

As of right now in beta, I'd say no. For the monthly fee it probably isn't worth it unless they have some extreme upgrading on the lag issue. It gets really bad even for us with DSL. To the point where doors won't open for you or suddenly you are sniped running through the forest and nobody is around. Yeah, it really just sucks sometimes :mad:

Now you all have me confused... I think i might go for it since it has the first month for free and see what happens from there. if it doesn't work, well i will try to sell it since im a lazy teenager w/o a job and only 50 dollars.

I wouldn't. No chance in hell would you see me waisting a few hundred dollars (this is if i'm upgrading my comp to play ps) just to find out i lag like hell. I'm not in beta but from what people have described, i'll give you a hint: if you get lag in other first person shooters such as counter strike, tribes, or rtcw in good servers, i would not touch this game.
