Offline Training

I heard that there is some way to get to the offline training. How do you go about doing that (if you can). I gotta get my planetside fix for this evening or I won't be able to sleep. :)

Make a shortcut to planetside.exe on your desktop. Go to properties and edit the target line to say

"C:\Program Files\Sony\PlanetSide\planetside.exe" -off

... or whatever your path name is. All you should be doing is adding -off to the end (and you need the space after the " ).

Launch that and you can get to training mode.

Btw, trainging lvl 2 is messed up, so you can only use the first lvl correctly. After playing the first lvl, (it's boring as hell... you've been warned) there's a file that can be hexedited to get to the other lvls, though I forget what it is. Something like training.ini or soemthing. Anywhat, there are only like 5 values in it. Change the first one to 09 and you can access the rest of the sections. I haven't tried this and don't condone hexediting your files unless you know what you are doing, especially with beta code that isn't released. :)

I have had a look through my planetside install folder but cannot find any file that you refer to, do you or anyone else know the name of the file that is needed to be edited?

found it, edit the training.bin file with a hex editor...(doh!!)
