Plllleeeeaaase!! I need my shot of PS info! Shoot me up!!!
Thumper
1. How effective is the splash of grenades?
2. How many frag nades does it take to knock out an infantry or MAX?
3. *checks to make sure he spelled grenades right in case of Led attack* whew
The Lancer.. god im starting to love the concept of this gun..
1. How does its max range/long range acc/firing speed/projectile speed compare to the boltdriver? How does the firing speed compare to the striker?
2. Do you guys forsee them nerfing the lancer?
General Question:
Would it be feasable to carry (with reinforced armor) a thumper in one slot, lancer in the other, a striker in the backpack, med thingy in pistol slot, engineer thingy in other pistol slot, ammo for everything?

1.Good
2.Inf = about 2 depending, max = nice try (jamming is good vs them, but I have yet to take 1 out using just nades)
3. yep, gotta check that around here ;)
Lancer:
1. Someone who uses both of those a lot would be better at answering
2. No, it isnt that great
General:
no, need more ammo with ya, *dont wat to put a gun in your pack, way too much room* You need ammo ;) I fill up my inv with 1-2 types of ammo and still run out a lot if I dont watch it.

Lancer is already nerfed. It looks good on paper but sucks vs. the other empire av guns.

I plan on getting lancer cert tonight, I'll let you know. It doesnt fire a projectile that I can tel on firing range or in action (other people using it, not me) but it takes 0.5 sec to "power up" after you pull the trigger then it discharges.

Lancer is frikken sweet. It may not be quite as good as the other empires AV weapons when used as an AV weapon, but one thing the lancer has on the other two AV weapons is that it doubles as a medium/long range AI weapon. The thing is like as powerful as a bolt driver but not as accurate at long/very long ranges.

no no, you're spelling it wrong, it's granedes
lollers just kidding
Grenades are actually pretty effective on the battlefield. I sometimes just load up on frag grenades and run out onto the battlefield throwing them around randomly

The Lancer fires hella faster than other AV weapons though.
And no splash damage could be good in theory-- not usually in practice however.
5 hours till I can forget Lasher and pickup Lancer and a new vehicle 8)

Ok played around with lancer for about 2 hrs so far and it is friggin good. I have killed tanks, MAX, Snipers, infantry, gun turrets (tower and Eng ones). It carries a clip of 6, fires VERY fast with INSTANT projectile. Just keep the reticle on the target, pull the trigger, and 0.5 sec later zap its dead. Now at long range is is NOT terribly accurate, but still ok.
Now the downside-- ammo is HUGE and only 6 per pack. In agile armor I can only carry this, pistol, REK, and 24 shots (I think it was 24 + 2 health packs. I can burn thru 24 pretty damn fast. I think it will be MUCH better with reinforced armor since can carry more ammo and carry a pulsar/sweeper shotgun for infantry up close.
Overall I give it a big thumbs up.

Sweetness, thanks alot man. Guess that decided it for me, im going Vanu :)
People who say the lancer has an instant projectile are not paying attention. I use the lancer quite a bit--the projectile is the second fastest in the game behind the bolt driver, but it does have a perceptible travelling time. For example, if you are oblique or perpendicular to a moving target, you will have to lead them both in terms of your charge up time and your projectile travel time. It is tricky, but if you get the hang of it you can railgun running infantry at medium ranges. Very powerful.
Travel time is especially pronounced when tracking moving air targets.

Correction- I can carry 18 rounds and 2 health packs-- going to train reinforced tomorrow.
I nailed a ton of TR MAX and infantry today, really an awesome weapon.
