Anyone try beta on 56k?

I can't get DSL or Cable out in the valley. Would be forced to run on 56k. Anyone try it? Thanks

From the few people I know that have used 56k It is indeed playable. You can't participate in those big arse battles or fly very well by any means. Of course, this is also beta so its bound to improve. However, getting through all the patches on a 56k is suicide.
56 hour downloads anyone?

Yeah, the D/L's are gonig to kill me :\ I will most likely have to play a sniper...something that can stay away from the battles..

Very good idea, I dont think ive ever heard of a 56ker playing an infiltrator. Guess that would be called a suicidetraitor!

I'm moving in a few months so i'll eventually be able to get dsl/cable.

Yeah well, even on a cable\DSL line, the big battles can get a bit choppy. Far better than 56k though.

Our own Powdahound plays on his modem, the most painful times are downloading patches.

Sounds like he has a pretty good experience otherwise :)
