NC Deliverer Race!

Me and a few friends decided to try and organize a race!

Anything can happen here. No track just waypoints, take your own path, encounter enemies that will try and take you out!, push people around, if you feel like try and shoot em out of the race if you really feel like it!!!

Pretty much here is how its gonna happen:

Date: Friday May 9
Time: 6:00pm PST
Faction: New Conglomerate
Server: Markov
Vehicle to be raced: Deliverer
Meeting where: West of Cyssor Warpgate (expected to be in deliverers ahead of time!)
To be raced at: Ceryshen, Cyssor or Hossin (will take a vote if needed)

Cyssor - Lots of islands with bridges to cross water and if you want avoid bridge and go thru water
Hossin - Swampy land not much more to say, just an interesting environment to try
Ceryshen - Winding roads it sounds like (thx LesserShade for idea)

I am going list the waypoints to goto and pretty much its an all out race and anything goes!

Dont worry if you dont have a Deliverer cert, you should have an open character slot to make a new character and quickly get one.

Will be looking for any Mosquito or Reaver pilots to act as referees, announcers, and screenshot takers. Only accepting a handful of pilots so if you want to be one make sure to join ahead of time and message me in-game or send me a private message via forums about wanting to be one. Amount needed will vary upon amount of racers.

lol, I gonna try and make a waypoint pass thru an enemy base, so.... if you really wanted to, you could pick up a few hitchhikers to drop em off at a base along the way...

Imagine 30 dels, 4 dropping out of each as they pass, thats easily 120 people invading a base! just erm... watch out for the other del when jumping out :p

And if the TR plan on taking the racers out... just another hazard to worry about lol, like I said its all out anything goes :eek:

the race should take place on a continent with water... as to take full advatage of the amphibious capabilities. It would also prove that its still easier to go around water than through it:p. Unless of course a huge bridge battle is taking place o_0.

Funny part is some people, squads and outfits are probably planning raids for htis since its predictable and could get some quick xp. Or would be Caping while the NC has a short on men to fight during race... BUt enough of teh NEgative..

Zenny.. I love teh idea and hope Fileplanet will let me download PS already (I'm public user.. not paying) so I can get in there 2.

We just say DON'T Shoot Miir.. I don't know.. maybe put him in a quad or something that we can pick out quickly and can get aroudn fast. And anyoen that shoots him is disqualified and mass raped by everyone. Now.. if we can just get him to do this.

And Lots of SS's.. if we can pull this off might help for publicity or something.

Ya, water is a good thing, so thats why I put Cyssor, lots of chances to cross water.

If Miir or anyone were to make a video of it, it wouldn't have to be the whole race, just showing as it gets setup, begins, any major happenings (i.e. deaths, enemy ambushes [something I am kind of hoping for, but not enough to eliminate everyone LOL], encounters with bridges), passing thru an enemy base to see what their reaction is, just a few clips during the race, a mob of deliverers finishing at once, and finally the winner! But good idea, ill have to see if he is up to it :D

Well I got a reply from Miir and it looks like he wont be able to be there unless we post-pone it a week.

Pro's of Postponing:
We may get a video of it done :D
I could look into getting a website done with roster signups and the works
More time to get spread about I guess
More time spent into finalizing a definite continent with a set course and anything needed to touch up.
Maybe a BIG maybe, but if it is popular enough I could try and organize a tourney of some kind, best 10 of each faction for example!

Con's of Postponing:
Have to wait a week...
When does the beta end? Next week is the 16th and game is supposed to come out 20th... will it last that long?!
That's really it...

So what do you guys think? I kinda want to get this done, but by waiting it could become more fun and/or competitive.
