Ok, been thinking about how to fix my character. I decided to not go with a Lancer and Lasher but instead to take just and only take a Lancer, mostly because I need an alternative for anti-vehicular, and its not worth 4 points when i would rather have a Quasar MAX for Base fight, even if it is a 5 minute timer(I can have a backup config for when the timer is not up, better then wasting 4 points on a Lasher. This would also give me room to take ACEs with me, and Its a good trade off because out in the field when its just me and repair kits and a Lancer wont kill and infantry with a gun, spitfires will be much of help. When i get in a base I might as well rush to a console away from a spawn and hack it for a while and suit up for action. Normally I would just be carrying a Lancer and and a Nano Dispenser along with a REK + BANK (then ACES and and as many nano cartridges). Any Experianced players, especially those who are engineers and advanced engineers will you explain how your basic config is and what other you have for back up. Feel free to comment and tell me what to change.
After that I am left with 7 more certs (considering when im br 20) I think I would get a lightning and GAL, please comment on this because I am not so sure what to get. I think its wise to have a MAX so you can cover your back and fight right up in the frontlines, but when your repairing and setting up ACES i think a LAncer goes well so I can get all the vehicles from far away. And as i said earlier in a Base assault i will msot liekly once the fight is going be using mostly my MAX and then still setting up fresh spitfires on a ACE only config so I can set em up en mass, and then a secondary comprising of a Pulsar and a Sweeper when I am waiting for my MAX. As for vehicles I am not sure how I would do with this kind of character in a lightning or in a GAL so please comment what I should do for vehicles, I was thinking of reaver, but iono. Thats about it, but its alot, I really want to know what I can do to make It the best. Share comments about the certs, strategies I can use, and hwo I can set up the configs for each part properly, here are my implants:
Advanced Regenaration: Cant heal very well as an engineer and i need the space medkits take up, plus it heals me when i take bruisings from all the times i get caught in the air with no more energy for my MAX jumpjets (I dont need stamina as max anyways, atleast very little of it.
Personal Shield: Last line of defense whe I got caught somewhere i Dont want to be with just a Lancer between me and my death, you can't always no where ppl are and put up a spitfire, and its very limited to how many ACES i can hold.
Audio Amplifier: Can tell when people are running towards me, gives me warning to put down a spitfire or mine :D, or just get the hell out of the way, or where i can ambush someone with a MAX that might have a leathal antivehicular weopon.
