Downloaded the game yesterday after getting home from work and started it up. Created me a toon and played for a little while, everything ran great :) . Well had to get off for a while to make the wife happy, but when I got on a little later I noticed that they put in some patch stuff and well after it checked to make sure that I had all the filles and I press play.

LOCKED UP :(

I thought well probaly just a hick-up, so I shut down and did it again, same results. Two times I did get to the Planetside splash screen.

I'm running a :
PIII 600
728 MB of ram
2 GIG of free space on the HD
GeForce 4 4200 128 MB Video card

Trying to see if anyone has any ideas for me except buy a new computer (which will come here shortly, but not before the betas is over.) or if this is a common problem with people.

Thanks

If your locking up that soon into launch.. sounds like something corrupted. You can try the full scan thing. Maybe try and move planetside.exe somewhere else and re-patch. May have been one of the other files that corrupted. Try the Beta boards also.

I had tried the full scan but didn't think about the moving of the exe file will try when I get home from work.

Thanks. Weird thread to post it in though.

Crashes are a thing of beta though. It most likely is a widespread problem.
