Does any one know the advantages of using each type of grenade?
And in what situatuion is it best to use either?

Well frag is like a normal grenade they go off people die.
But a Plasma grenade will expolde hurt you and keep hurting you because its supposed to burn on you NOW THATS ANNOYING.

Well, I do know that the plasma grenade is capable of doing more damage, but it doesn't do all of its damage at once. I believe it also has a smaller explosion radius, so you have to be more accurate with it. In my opinion, the instant damage of the frag grenade is preferable for things like spamming a room full of MAX units, while the plasma is more useful for groups of regular soldiers. Of course, that's just my opinion, take it or leave it at your option. :)

I find plasma better
Plasma = infantry
Frag = MAXs and vehicles
Plasma is also better for indirect fire(like shooting around a corner or over a rock or hill). And of course Plasma = best weapon against cloakers. :twisted:

Fragmentation effectiveness is very dependent on how close the enemy is to the blast. If you hit someone dead on, they'll lose 50 health and a bunch of armor. Plasma, on the other hand, seems to do most of its damage through the burning effect, and that damage does not seem to exceed that of a frag grenade (may be wrong, just my perception). But, plasma has a bigger blast, and its splash burn does more than the frag's from what I can tell.

Frag is more effective vs. armor, while plasma works better against light infantry. (It's also great psychological warfare: When your screen is constantly flashing red, you find it hard to concentrate.)
