Is it just me are the Markov Vanu REALLY REALLY uncoordinated. My general questions (over broadcast) NEVER get answered. Ask how long left on a hack (after at least 5 min nobody asking) and no reply. Ask if anybody is forming a squad to go get a certain base (beachhead on a strang continent)...No reply. Start my own squad to establish a beachhead...no reply...Ask how high you can get from training (only a couple days into my beta testing experience and trying to play all 4 slots at once...no worky well without a decent squad)...no reply...
So to end all that rambling...how high can you get without fighting or really going into the world and how do you do it? I think I heard 5 from one of the devs, but I have only hit 3...and barely into 3 at that.

what else gives you free BEP?
...continents...stations...
Because trying to get BEP when you are BR3 and have infultration suit and engineering is a little difficult...
Everything gets easier when I hit BR5. Combat engineering. I can move around between bases invisibly, then blow things up! BR8 lets me hack the bases, 10 Hack faster. 13 kill tanks (and move faster) with a reaver...

If you visit every continent, then every facility and check their nifty terminals out, then maybe BR5, but who is going to take the time to test it?

this is my opinion, but i really think u should trade in ur infitration suit for medium assault. its just an infiltration suit and enginnering just doesnt seem too good for starting out.

Bah just get a max suit and plow thru some BR.

Screw training, use your 4 points at level 1 to buy Medium Assault and AMS, then join a squad to get experience. I don't know how this has been effected by the recent exp changes, but jumping right into a good squad was just as profitable as training, but a lot more fun.

So about 1:45 today I go out to one of the continents to start my career (think it was Hossin, I like Hossin). Switched inf suit to adv engineering so I can plant boomers for MAXs and spitfire turrets and stuff. Not one kill (and this was a big battle area) came out of my turrets and nobody would come near my bombs :)
So the whole time im not geting any BEP cause no squad. A MAX is on the roof getting shot at and is asking for a heal. I say ill heal him if somebody will offer me a squad (would heal him either way) and nobdy replied. So I go upsatirs anyway to heal and he wont stand still!. So he jumps up to the very roof and I cant get there so I run around healing others and get killed. Respawn at a tower. Asked if all the squads were full or were people too lazy to offer a squad slot. Nobody replied so I called the whole empire lazy. Somebody said good, not sure if it was to me or in general. Said something else (he did, dont remember) and then good again. I logged off. This game is gonna suck if people dont work together...

Killed all my chars and was at BR3 (training) to get a couple certs and try to be useful to my new NC friends. Joiing 666th. I like big battles and even better, co-ordinated battles.
DSL will make everything better, as will a new vid card. If I can think of reasons besides PS to sink 180-220 bucks into a 9500P/9600P/9700NP.
Even with a job thats a lot of money for a guy in HS. Of course, HL2 and D]|[ are on their way this year...maybe a 97P could be fitted into a budget, but I want a new monitor too...I dont feel like being broke...I like looking at my bank and seeing $500 in it...Car stuff...)

Just as a note, Markov is currently the cesspool of Planetside. Be glad you didn't try and be a TR on Markov - they've fallen into fits of mass TKing from what I understand. Try one of the other servers (if you're going West Coast, Johari's great.)

hmm. I'll try Johari, but I want to try to stick with the 666th. They seem alright. Perhaps Ill play on both servers...anyother comments to back him up?

Says you SpaceDrake. I am currently playing VS on both Johari and Markov. I am having a ball on both servers. And I have had no troubles finding a squad, action, and XP on either server.
No doubt the action is pretty crazy and uncoordinated, but this does not surprise me and nor should it you. Most players have been exposed to the game for little over a week FFS!
I still find myself asking for help with all sorts of stuff from simple UI controls to high level strategy. So long as I am in a squad I get intelligent answers to these questions almost always.

One thing you may not have noticed.
If you are hacking a base, that means you do not have control of the base, and the /broadcast channel is not available to you.
That may account for why you dont get answers.
