Please tell me i'm not the only one who uses this godly weapon along with the decimator, I've replaced my cycler with the rocklet. I LOVE it :)

I like the thumper & plasma / decimator combo myself but load up the rocklets every now and then :)

Enlighten me Squeeky - what's so good about it?
I've tried it out in the VR room, but wasn't that overly impressed. IMO not that good on either soft or hard targets, so please 'splain' this to me.
And on the Thumper:
Where's that impact circle? The info on the Thumper contains the following text:
"It utilizes a special Arc Targeting System that 'paints' a small impact circle on the soldiers HUD, representing roughly where the grenade will land."
When I tested the Thumper in the VR room I never saw that circle (i.e. it's damn hard to hit when the enemy is some distance away.) If I got that circle I'd probably be much more inclined to use it.

Rocklet kicks ass. My only gripe with it is the FF I sometimes cause when I get too caught up in how badass it is.
Why is it good? Well, on secondary fire, it is so easy to kill infantry with you wouldn't believe. All 6 rocklets fire out, and even if you don't get direct hits, just aim for their feet and the splash damage will put them down. MAX giving you a hard time? Well, the Rocklet gun may not kill it before you die, but it'll give them a hard time. Not only is the Rocklet good for single infantry though, it can kill massed infantry pretty effectively too. Only reason I never use it anymore is because, a) it's too easy to kill with and eliminates the fun of a nice, close-range gunfight, and b) it sucks at range.

I never saw that painted target with thumper either, hopefully it just isnt implemented yet.
Lancer is godly. It is the only av weapon that is great for indoor/outdoor/vehicle/max/infantry/sniping. I love it dearly and fear it when I'm fighting VS.

Yeah, the lancer is the only weapon I've ever used as a Vanu that instantly inspires a reaction. If there's a croud of NC or TR fireing at each other or at a croud of Vanu and I let off a lancer shot half of them will instantly drop whatever they're doing and try to kill me just to get rid of the guy with the GD lancer. :D
Lasher is ok but I might trade it out for the rocklet and see what that does.

All the special weapons rock. The heavy assault weapons rock. The medium assault weapons rock. The AV weapons rock. I'm very happy with current weapon balance. Each weapon seems to be good for its specific role and well fitted with the rest of the arsenals.

The changes to the Lancer in an older patch sort of screwed with it a bit. I looted a Lancer from a Vanu the other day and, after using it with about 18 rounds in my inventory and 6 in the gun, got a boat load of kills. It's effective against absolutely anything, and that shouldn't be the case with an AV weapon. The Phoenix fires too slowly to be a threat, the Striker has horrid aim against infantry, especially moving infantry, but the Lancer hits almost instantly, kills in two hits, and has 6 ammo per clip. Sorry, that needs calibration.

dito on the jackhammer thing, im very pleased with how that weapon turned out.
one set up i use has two jackhammers, one with ai amo and the other with ap... really effective when taking over a base inside :D
rocklet's ok but ill stick to my pheonix. i think that weapons just fine as it is, if u wanted to speed up its firing i wouldnt mind but its deadly enough as is. not to toot my own horn or nothin but ive had a pack of reavers turn tail when i was defending a tower along side one other pheonix user.
max's r road kill to the thing too... god i hate maxs

A rocklet can be a grief-point-delux in a tower fight. One time i was closing in on a enemy max in a tower, hit burst mode; the first shot killed the max, the rest went into a group of teammates who were on the other side of the max that i didn't see.
Racked up quite a few griefpoints there.

I picked it up trying out NC this time around, and after the phoenix ended up bugged for no damage against vehicles.. Was I ever surprised how effective it was..
Used to fear MAXs, now with my rocklet launcher, I actively hunt them taking the long way around ordinary infantry to go after one..
Rocklet Launcher + Surge vs MAX = win...
the only drawback I find is it seems to "stick" when it reloads, though that could just be lag.. It doesn't seem to happen to me with any other weapon..
Still, it rocks..
My favourite so far, started with my killing some immature wank of a VS Max player at distance in a vanguard, who started throwing racial slurs at me in tells after one of his faction finally took out my tank.. I managed to find him again on several occasions in his MAX on open fields, and began rockletraping him every chance I could with surge enabled.. Shut his mouth pretty quickly after that..
great weapon..

Rocklets also kick butt at taking out wall turrets. You can hide safely out of range (especally if you have a range magnification implant) of them things and take them out fairly quickly.
