OKay, the game is finally out, and now I'm seriously considering buying the game.

Questions: Is it worth the money? One a scale from one to ten, ten best, what do you rate it?

From what I have seen from several weeks of beta:
It is worth it.
Score:9, yeah, its that good :D would have given it higher, but they mucked with the XP system. :(

8 or a 9 from me. Was an absolute blast to play. I'm not the kind of player who gets all upset about perfect weapon balance, exp. etc. though, I just like frag with friends so maybe Im not the best reviewer. The game delivers exactly what I want though.

If you werent in the beta and havent played PS, its a solid 9.
After a month of playing it, a good solid 4, maybe 5.

There are better FPS games out there.
There are better MMORPG games out there.

This game other then having a lot of people, didnt bring a single thing new to the plate.

9-10 for me, this game has it all.
Anyone who bitches too much on how it not a good MMORPG or how its a bad FPS is way to biased twards another, for me I love RPG and FPSs alike so this is great for me. THe game brings a TON of great stuff to the plate, its defently worht the money, I can safley say this, Its not the best game ever made, but its a hell of alot better than anything out right now.

Nice try fanboi

Its real easy kiddies.

Instead of flamming it, prove it to be false.

What did PS bring to the plate that isnt a almost pure rehashing of many other games?

Depends who you ask, some people are looking for more "content"

what more they want from an FPS besides shooting the hell out of people on a massive scale I dont know :p

why are you here?

One of the strangest phenomena I've ever seen are people who don't like something, but go to a fan site on that thing and decry it.

It's something that an intelligent mind cannot comprehend, which I guess is why it is so prevalent; PEOPLE ARE STUPID.

Erm...please be more specific than people in general. You're calling yourself, me, Hamma, even the developers stupid as well ;)

It's funny, but MyPlanetside.com is what is going to keep Planetside alive. They did the right thing by tapping into the ego of players. The game in and of itself has little or no point after 1-2 weeks of play. You do the same thing over and over with a little bit of variety. With the old XP system is was more fun because you could level up a new char quickly and have fun exploring other types of play in the game, but with the new XP system you have to work hard on one char just to get him anywhere.

MyPlanetside.com gives people something to aim for: their name on the leaderboard, their clans ranking, or their empires position on the global map. Being able to show your friends how you influenced the movement of the game over the past 8-24 hours is brillient.

The game starts as an 8-9, and depending on your love for it stays there for a while, and then decreases at different rates for different people. Personally I think I would play for 1-2 months. I plan on sharing an account with a guy at work who can afford to buy it/set up a station account. I will not buy and pay for this game on my own. If they haven't fixed the lag issues then this game will lose impetus quickly.

The game experience you can have in PS is still something you can't get anywhere else. Personally, I say good riddance to the folks who aren't willing to pay for it, but I hope, on the same token, there are enough people like me to sustain it.

It's probably a 7--it could have a been designed a little better from concept, but it's still the best mmofps in existence.

Heh classic.

Wonder how long it takes for PS to start spamming my email with "come back to ps" emails like EQ does heh.

I give it a 10. My reasons:
1.) three empires all fighting against each other
2.) HUGE world map
3.) empire-specific weapons
4.) command features
5.) squads
6.) TONS of weapons
7.) TONS of vehicals
8.) outfits
9.) AWESOME graphics for a MMO game
10.) did I mention HUGE world map
11.) there will be updates

after playing beta for awhile, the initial shock value wore off. But this is still a GREAT game.
