Matrix : reloaded question... pleas inform me *spoilers*

alright tell me if im wrong and if this is somethign u alredy noticed, spare me the flames...

alright you know when Neo meets the architech, and teh architech explains the creation of matrix etc... and says something about zion being destroyed 5 times and this is the 6th repetition? but if zion contains the last of the earths "awakened" humans, then how was it destroyed 5 times already?

again, this is what i thought he said... so please help me figuret his out...

So basically the individuals chosen rebuild Zion and start another cycle with another One which would, in theory, return to the source again and repeat the cycle.

All of the previous anomalies chose to rebuild Zion for the good of the human race. However, Neo chooses the other option because of his love for Trinity.

edit: wait how are the machines thatare attacking zion connected to the matrix? why does neo try to get acess to the mainframe? wtf!?

Think of the Matrix as a big friggin battery. the battery supplies power to the machines that would destroy Zion. if Neo would destroy the Matrix, all the machines would lose power and 'die'. Humans are the fuel of the battery. the human brain produces electricity, and our nerves use that current to make signals. so theoretically, of you plugged a power cord into the back of your skull you may be able to turn on a flashlight bulb. a lot of people doing this, like in the Matrix, would be a nearly infinite power source.

Well we can't really know till the 3rd film but the way i see it the matrix as we all know is basically just an interactive real life net simulation for the non-freed. Now IMO the matrix (being a server) is connected just like everything else to the main server (read : source). This is how the agents can know what is happening outside of the matrix (see 1st movie when agents know about sentinels closing in and order strike, etc). So since the agents can see the machines movements outside of the matrix that means they are all linked together (machines and programs) by the source and it's sub servers, codes, programs and whatnot. That's why and how the sentinels are linked to the matrix.

And as i stated a few times before Neo can sense and stop the sentinels simply because he know has the "access codes" to the source, he was linked to all that is in the source so he could choose the new population but by leaving the source he did not lose that connection, he still has access to every machine connected to the source.

At least that's how i see it. :)

Good insight Dio. I think the answer will be somewhat simpler, like the real world is a matrix of its own, a russian doll thing of itself. Or maybe when Smith got a part of Neo, Neo also became a part of Smith and gained something from him. Or maybe we're all wrong and Neo is really Jesus Christ teh Kung Fu Mastah.
