Well I am now on day 3 of troubleshooting PS. Almost everytime I load the game and log on to the Emerald server the game locks up completely. I have to power off my CPU and reboot, no CTL-ALT-DEL... nothing....
When I reboot and go to device manager to check for conflicts AFTER it has crashed for some reason my drivers for "Multimedia Audio Contoler" and "USB Controller" have been completely wiped out, like they were never install and is causing conflicts!
So I reinstalled my audio drivers and got on a couple times and it worked fine. Then I just logged on again and SAME THING, drivers were wiped out.
HELP!!!
Here is my system info if it helps any:
P4 1.8 ghz processor (Win XP Pro)
ASUS P4S8X-X 533FSB SIS648 mobo
Kingston Hyper-X 512mb DDR PC2700 RAM (333mhz)
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128mb DDR GPU
Maxtor 80g 7200rpm HDD
Hercules Gamesurrond Fortissimo! III
Antec 450W PSU
