View Full Version : How would a used copy of PS work?

Assuming they fix the gameplay problems in the future, I'd probably be able to find a copy of PS on ebay or similar. But since the person already used their CD key to play and try it before they decided to sell it...how does that work? Can the CD key be reused once the account tied to it is unsubscribed?

If they are selling it, they could give you there account name, password, and all that info. The CD key is only needed to make new accounts, not to install it.

You'll also probably be able to pick it up at a store for a lot less than $50, too. Then you don't have to trust some guy on eBay

Generally, buying secondhand MMOG accounts is more expensive than buying the game new.

In answer to your question, no--they can't unsubscribe and release their CD key. It is forever lost. You'd have to pay them for it, which is a little on the illegal side.

I wonder how eb and other game websites will sell their preowned copies then?
