Hey, a couple of friends of mine were just given an old ass comp to do like bookwork and stuff on until they get around to buying a real one. It's like a 166.
Anywhat, I got what motherboard info I could from it and am wondering how I go about checking what this board can handle CPUwise. I don't know if they're stuck with 166 for the moment, or if I could kick it up to like a 333 or something (assuming I could pull a really really cheap one from somewhere of course).
Here's the info.
SiS - 5571 - 2A5IHG09C-00
From what I can tell, this is the SiS 5571 Chipset (I know, obvious), and that it's made by Giga-byte (I got that from the G0 in the name). It's board GA-5868 (got that off of a website), but I can't find anything about that board number. Any thoughts??

Thanks man, that's a lot of help. Their entire search thing was down when I was there. I thought they were having bigger issues that what could be resolved quickly. :) I guess I was wrong since you got the site to work.
