In your oh so humble opinions, which should i upgrade to get the most out of planetside?
RAM or Video card

Current
AMD Athlon 1.4 processor
256 MB SDRAM
geForce2 MX/ MX 400 ( 64 MB)

now from tiger direct www.tigerdirect.com, i found what i think to be a very good deal on RAM and Video. With Rebates i can get a 256 stick and GeForce 4 128 MB, right around 90 dollars. Is this a good deal or would i be better off upgrading just my memory but uping it to 1024

Is that GeForce4 the MX variety? If so you're gonna be sorry you bought that card. Save up and buy a Radeon 9500pro. For now though, upgrade your RAM. PS is a memory hog. I'd recommend getting at least a gig of memory inside your machine. Cut a few more lawns, wash some more cars, babysit, work extra overtime, do whatever you have to so you can get your video card that way. The Radeon 9500pro's are running around $175 fyi http://www.knowledgemicro.com/detail.php?name=AT-9500PRO

I don't believe its the MX version, but it very well could be.
The official name of the card, according to tigerdirect, is
Geforce4 128mb-SDR AGP Card
The only reason i figured geforce over ATI this time is because i already have a geforce card and this one is pretty cheap with rebate.

Its a MX card. No G4 4200, 4400, or 4600's had SDRAM. Even most MX cards I see these days have DDR. Thats why its prolly cheap. I wouldn't go near it, as it won't play PS any better than what you got and it will still suck to high heaven.

Ram at this point would be my suggestion.

yea well SDRAM is dirt cheap so its not like thats a cost probelm but stay away from MX like sentrosi said save up for a Radeon 9500pro
