I'm an Xbox gamer so should I buy this game or not (I'll help Sony by buying it)? Ok that was just for fun. I won't buy a new PC this month or the next month or the next month... My PC is almost 3 years old... That's what I have:

P3 996Mhz (not 1Ghz!)
256 MB SDRAM 100Mhz
64 MB SDRAM Graphics card GF 4 420 MX

Is this worh buying? Spending $12/month
+stupid Xbox Live subscription $6/month

I know that it has nothing to do with this game (Xbox Live subs) but shit... This is too much money to spend! :)

My sister won't borrow me her PC (that is twice as better as this...) Damn, this is so gay... I wanna play some good FPS but no... When my brother bought his first computer he was only ten... That was like 11 years ago with superfast DX. That "thing" last 3 years for good gaming and that "thing" on the top only one... That I had to upgrade it... Damn... Why don't they just stop that rush and just patch up the game so it will run like it supposed to. I bet if they would patch it you could even run it on Celeron 500 Mhz... But no..

Well, should I buy it or not? (Yes, and my love are FPS games)

Upgrade memory and CPU and, of course, BUY!!! The game rocks if you like Fist Person Shooters. This games got it all! Action, suspence, romance! You'll laugh, you'll cry, and, most importantly, You'll Frag!!!
Seriously though, get some upgrades and play that funky music.... errr.... I mean play planetside. :D

All right. I'll "try" to get some upgrades... Memory, that's all I can upgrade. I won't overclock anything... The max. memory my pc can handle is 512 MB SDRAM.

Will it work with 30 FPS on my computer?

You mean you are going to play on your laptop? Hm... Is it any fun with that trackball on your keybord? (Ok I know you can buy a mouse...) But playing on a laptop?

Most laptops now have all the ports of a desktop on the back of them. My friend plays on a laptop, but it is pluged into a seperate monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speaker. he just starts the thing up, folds it up and sets it aside.

Ya ya ya... But still my question is...

It will be playable, but not very fun unless you add another 256-512 MB of RAM.

I'd suggest waiting a month before buying anyway, until they work the kinks out.

PS is still beta, give it a couple months to see if it works out or not... but if you want to try it now pay up.

and on another note I have to say it's a crappy time for PC gaming and upgrading just because so many games are being put out that are full of system funking and resource bogging code that people's answer is... well just up your system specs to ten times what makes sense. the only problem is your face will be red when the games still hang up and are full of bugs even though you plunked down another $1000. I'm surprised at how many stupid people there are who even do that and still think the problem is on their end... and are asking if their 3ghz 256mb graphics card, and gig of ram is fast enough for game such and such. Get a clue folks, it's just a shitty season for well coded games. think about it, how many people can you name in the industry who talk passionately about optimizing code and using technology right... I can't even think of a handful.

I hate to say it but despite PC games still being fun... PC gaming is at it's most inflated and least value per dollar state it's probably ever been in. you'd honestly get much better value with a console. but like I said PC games are still fun. you just have to decide at what point it's reasonable to pay for something, versus being some sort of nut who's paying extravagantly for a fix.

Thank you for helping me. I'll wait and bug my parents for a new PC or for upgrades.

Anyway, I found some awesome site about PCs (I mean, a PC store on the web) Really cheap PCs- awesome performance.

Here it is: http://www.cyberpowerinc.com/home.htm
Or this site: http://www.abspc.com/

I don't think "it's just a shitty season". This keeps going for 30 years, when first PCs came out. Now, almost every month new graphics cards come to this buisness. This was a lot slower couple years ago.

Well, my system specs are:

1000mhz(actually runs slightly slower)
60G hard drive
32mb Nividia
256mb RAM
Sound Blaster Live
Windows ME
DSL connection

It's a two and half year old computer that has performed really well for me. I can play very well with graphic settings on low with about 50% max viewing range. I do get some small lag in really huge battles but it is never unplayable.

Damn, I'm getting this game tommorow! If that's true what you are saying, gonnagetyou, this is a pretty well set up game.

Is this game avaible at Best Buy?
