Would you guys like to see a Tech forum? A place where u can go to post PC problems and such - of course problems with PS when it comes out.
Yes/No?

Can my standard responce be "Sounds like an id10t error to me"?
Well i wouldn't think we would have swo many problems we need a whole new forum. I dunno. :)

People can just post it in here. I have problems checking more than 2 forums. Adding another one would just be more of a hassle.

Its not that a ton of people have problems, but if they want to post a tech question there would be a place to do it. Im sure there are a few tech savvy people on these boards willing to help. :) Its not a forum that would be whored

Well I wouldn't count on that. I won't whore it but I'm sure that there are others willing to do so. If you just have them post it in the lounge though we could see their questions quicker and respond to them.

I'm all for it. It's not a conversation forum that you'd have to keep checking... However, it is very nice to be able to post your problems and get a response quickly, and from people you've seen before on the forums. There would be many of us (me for sure) that would frequent the forum and help as much as possible. :) When this forum grows in size it will be very nice to have a standalone tech forum instead of posting things in here.
Oh and I also have #tech in psu irc for those of you interesed in that. :)

In this day and age, more and more people play computer games than ever, and it would be very noober-friendly, to have an area where people who don't know what an "insert game disc" message means. Well, if they don't know that, we could use it as an idiot proofing system!
I don't know, I think back to the days when I didn't know what an error meant, and there were many times a friendly person to help me. It seems to me that this forum is full of people kind enough to take a second, help a noob, and make that guys day. How bad would you feel if you bought the game you had been chubbin over for a month and you raced home, popped it in and *ERROR #77492*...
It would also help keep unrelated topics off the boards, I for one don't want to scroll through 20 "Is there a no cd crack" posts before I read that Hamma lost another base and no one should join his squad. I want to read that first.

I don't see any reason why not, if someone dislikes the idea they dont have to look in the forum...

No need to create an entire new forum, IMHO. The Lounge already does this nicely - you just need to ignore the first few sarcastic/idiot/spam/nonsensical nonsense that's initially posted. :)

i think once the game comes there need to be many more sections. perhaps not too detailed but definetly new sections. one for each empire, maaaaaybe diff continents depening on how that plays out, and diff servers (USEast, USWest, etc). More than that maybe.

Yes, there will be changes upon release - who knows what kinds of forums we will make heh
Well the lounge shouldn't be "sarcastic/idiot/spam/nonsensical nonsense" anyway. Yeah we can(and should :D) joke around and stuff but the lounge should be about community, getting to know each other and talk about non PS stuff, not spamming and fluffing to get that post total up.

From past experience the "lounge" forums always turn into total randomness. :) This is the internet, people will be sarcastic and mean and annoying. :p

It's a lounge. What would you talk about in a lounge? :p
Anyway, I'm all for not having a technical forum. It'd be more work for the admins. And I feel unnecessary work is unnecessary. :)

I'm the one who asked hamma for it to begin with. :) And I assume I'd be admin there. It's not like it will be a fast paced forum, and that's why it's better. People can post their tech problems and get serious responses, not crap that losers just spamming the lounge may post. The one on tribalwar has worked VERY well (and we all know how crazy the tribalwar main forum can be). The tech forum is nice and calm and helpful. :)

I honestly don't care. You guys can do whatever you want with your time/energy/money. It's just something I wouldn't do. :)

But they're having a sale over at walmart on Tech forums!!!
Zarp it wouldn't cost anything more nor would it require more time/energy. :) People that want to frequent the forum would, and it'd work like that. :)

The time/energy/money was a general term. I try not to waste any of the above on anything I do.
But it would be more time/energy then if they weren't there. But as I said before, I don't care.
So I calmly and collectively retract my argument. I am in the minority. :p

No hard feelings, I just really want it and any energy I see put into it is a positive thing. :) Not a waste at all.
