Help with Graphics card..... yet again.

I am lloking for a budget card to replace my GeForce MX200 (ugh, it runs on coal. :() and it came down to 2 different cards for around $80 (I would get more, but it isn't me paying. :D nothing beats free.)
I was looking at either of the following:

OR

They both seem to have very good ratings, and they are both supported by planetside, but what I really wanted to know is wich one you guys think would do me best. Thanks in advance, you guys are always really helpfull.

Geforce 4Ti 4200 its faster it oc's better ugh sadly i have to say that it pwns the Radeon plus alotta Radeon ppl have probs like me :( so go with that 4200 :) good luck bob u need it BADDDD oh and Maximum PC used 2 have that as it best budget card til the Badass 9500pro came out (which i am a proud owner of) :)

oops its a Geforce 3Ti200 i know where u can get a 100 Geforce 4Ti 4200 here http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?sku=p450-7243 the 4200 is vastly supperior to both

Actually, that was the GeForce 3 Ti200, not the GeForce 4 Ti4200, that being said, out of the 2 wich one would you guys say would be best?

EDIT: Whoops, you beat me to it. I'll check out that link and see whats what. I would like to stick to Newegg (Man, they rock) but if this other place has a beter price, I'll branch out and try new thngs. :D Thanks for the feedback. It is much appreciated.

np man i play on Markov sometimes im NoSurrender i used the love the 4x Geforce 4Ti series when they were god i like this card cuz look at all the cooling its got nice as hell ram sinks and its got that huge fan it looks like a tin foil wrapper around a hot dog... lol good luck to ya Bob

My specs are as follows:
1.2GHz Athalon XP (don't know the number)
512 pc2100
Brand Spanking new GeForce Ti4200 128mb
and a cable modem connection

That being said, I don't really care about Hi res textures or shiny eye candy, if I can get that it would be really nice, but mainly I am looking to push back the veiwing distance (I gotta give my sniper some room to breath). With those stats, what kinda veiwing distance do you guys think I will get on Low or Medium graphical settings?

You should be ok with the graphics set at medium. I would recommend getting another 512 stick though.

I would, but right now I am trying to save up for my own computer, don't want sink any more into my family computer. :D

I run with an AMD 2200+ 1024 MB of RAM and a Radeon 8500LE 128MB and I get good framerates at high settings

While RAM is incredibly important, it's not the reason he gets good framerate at high settings. His processor, RAM and Card are all fairly high end. The combo does it. My P4 1.4 has 1024 RAM on it, but I still slow to a crawl in battles. I'm on low settings and have the clipping plane at 50%.

I just ordered my new system though, so all will change soon....

SWEET FANCY MOSES!!!!! I just installed that card expecting some gameplay performance but I never expected this!! I can run Planetside with High Graphics with 0 graphical lag. It is amazing! i never knew there was grass on the ground or that the VS had that cool neon look going on. Thank God for this card. i can't beleive Planetside will run on high on my comp:
