Can an pilot bail from his/her aircraft?
IE: Can you jump from the mosquito which just took you 1/2 across the planet?

If i remember, hamma said you could, but he never lived long enough to try it. Seriously.

There was a post around here somewhere about what happens if the piolet jumps out of a galaxy, and the answer was: Yes he can bail out, and no the aircraft will not crash and kill everyone inside. It will come to a stop, and then land softly.

Question is....why would you want to leave your teammates stranded by bailing? (That is of course, you were the only one certified)

I meant jumping from a mosquito (semi?-stealth) while wearing a stealth suit to infultrate an enemy base. See my other post.

Ahh...ok, I wouldn't see why not, assuming you can get that close to the base.
Yeah you can bail. What possible reason would prevent you?

Well... you could...
I guess...
Well it could be a very valuable tactic for an infiltrator. Instead of walking around the base and risk being spoted you can simply fly overhead and bail while your ship lands a bit father. :)

That's an understatement...

would be a good tactic. would probably look cool too.

would suck if it landed right where u bailed. But if it kept going for a bit then it'd rule for infultrators.

If the aircraft is visable and they saw you then the whole base would be on aleart and whoever had darkvision would be out to frag your arse even if you could get close enough before you got blown out of the sky.

IIRC, the stealth suit works less and less the faster you move. Falling from an aircraft is usually not a slow process.

**edit: I know, I know! It should be *further*, but I wanted to quote him as originally as possible. I would have just left it father, but I didn't want what I said to be open to even more confusion. :)

"Falling from an aircraft is usually not a slow process."
Depends on how fast you fall :)
And if anybody is watching. The mosquito going over the base pretty much says "HI BOYS!" but the stealth suit and Mag Scatter is for any who dont like intruders inside :)

I good infiltrator will just need to get into the base via bail out, and it doesn matter if they're seen falling out.
It would be a plausable stratagy, but you have to realize that if someone sees you, they will be looking for a cloaked guy in their base.
wouldnt it be easier to do this with 2 ppl
1 personm drives over as high as possible.
infil jumps out.
plane drives off.
-_-
done and done.

would be nice but all of the aircraft can carry only 1 person except for the Galaxy, and I think that would be a little dangerous, because it's pretty big.
o.......
ok well.......
some1 drives the plane.
boost the infil onto the top of the plane suhldnt be too hard :)
then proceed with mission :D
Well unless they changed it the reaver is a 2 man ship, pilot and gunner. I could be wrong though.

Reaver is a one man vehicle
So they changed, that sucks. :(
DEV TEAM, WE NEED A 2 MAN AIRCRAFT!!! :D
Seriously nothing cooler than tagging up with a buddy and using a 2 man vehicle to its full potentiel. :)
