First of all I bought this game and a new graphics card, so this game will work smooth. I bought an NVIDIA FX 5200 PCI Card (128MB DDRAM)... and instead of smooth freamrate I get really gay ass 10-20 FPS/S. Which is, REALLY SLOW AND LAGGY.

Anyway, I didn't know what to do, where to go etc. I was lost. That's probably a feeling that everyone gets. Oh well.

The graphics are... Not good. I saw this in even two year old games.

Right know this game is no good for me.

Someone send me an invite to play with them. They send me a chat invite... But it didn't, also, work quite well. All the sounds were like from ATARI- a really old game console or something.

Also my PC is:
1Ghz Pentium 3
256MD SDRAM
And graphics card showed above.

Spent money for nothing? I think so. Or I'll just wait until they patch up this game.

Have you thought of getting more memory? that solved the lagging and freezing problem for me. But other than that i dont have any other problems with the game, i think its good!

You need a new processor and a more RAM. Buying that big video card does absolutely nothing with a 1GHZ Processor. You would have gotten the same performance from a GF3 or TI series card.

yeah 1 gig and 256 just doesnt cut it. And i think the graphics are beautiful. Go to Esamir look around. Its beautifull man

Jesus, you should not have a FX in that computer. Your processor and ram are holding that card back. Unfortunatly you will need to upgrade your motherboard as well. Keep your card, grab a fairly new motherboard that supports your card, and upgrade RAM speeds (DDR 2300+ atleast) and processor (2.0 or greater id say). Hardest to pick is the motherboard, as it needs to support all this crap.

If you're short on cash, really just get more RAM. That's the only thing keeping you from enjoying the game. The CPU isn't holding you back nearly as much as the RAM. And RAM is cheap. $40 or so and it'll be smooth for you.

Wohhaa

Who suggested that a video card would fix your problem should be shot.

Unfortunatly as most have said in here you will need to upgrade, but on a side note have you installed the latest drivers for your card? with the system you have there on the lowerst settings you might not experience freexing, but only if you make sure your running the latest drivers.

99% of video cards when relased come with old drivers, due to the nature of video cards.

Give that a go, but seriously think about upgrading your system.

PS will not play on a computer with 256 megs of ram. They should put this on the box.

The graphics are functional. The player models are fine, the terrain is fine, the vehicles are fine, the trees are fine--I will grant you that the base geometry is pretty basic.

And graphics card showed above. There's your problem. You're packing minimums. Look on the box, check recommended, and suppress the cardiac arrest.

P.S.: NEVER, NEVER judge a game by it's graphics. They are worth mention in a three-word sentence, no more.

SOE sucks at figuring out the "minimums" they prolly load it on the PC and see if they can get to the server select screen and put that down as the minimums so people will buy it.

someone should force them to playtest thier games on the minimum requirements so they will bump them up instead of screwing ppl into buying a game that wont run on thier system.

These days I dont even look at minimum req's they are mostly bullshit anyway

turn graphics to low, and at least double the RAM.

I bought this game yesterday and I'm running it on the following system:

Ahtlon 1Ghz
256 SDRAM
ATI Radeon 8500 64MB

I think sony got the minimum requirements spot on! I run PS in 1024 x whatever it is and although I do freeze up in huge gun fights, small to medium ones run fine. Forget flying vehicles though.

Krogen, you say PS looks crap - PS will have set the graphics to lowest detail automatically because of your spec. You won't see it in all its glory until you upgrade.

I plan on upgrading to a 2.6 ahtlon and 512 ddr 3700 ram soon and personally I can't wait to play PS with all the settings on high!

In a nutshell, I'm glad I bought PS before I upgraded because I can still enjoy most aspects of the game - be it at low detail :)
