joystick problems

i am new to planetside, only having the game 4 days now, and i tried my joystick out with it, in hopes to better my pilots ability, but for some reason i have no movements from the stick itself. All the buttons, the trigger and missle fire buttons work when i keyed them in from the options menu in game, but i still have no X / Y axis movements. any thoughts, or solutions would be much appreciated.

Ide try contacting support or the such
Or wait till the next patch as they might not have put in full support or compatability with your joystick
If that doesent help try to configure it in the game controls options in the control panel

I was able to get mine to start to work by playing with the sensitivity slider under the keymaps section. At the default setting I had the same problem you did. After trying a couple different settings I gave up and went back to my mouse because I just couldn't find the control I wanted from it.
