What will you do first?

What will you do when you first get into PS? Personally, the first thing I did was run outside my sanctuary base and look around at the scenery. Just in awe.. hehe. Then i hopped on a buggy.

I will get jump in vr and get a rifle cert and an armor cert then go on a rampage against all the unarmored people who couldnt wait to fight.

I am going to sit in the VR trainer till I hit Battle rank 5, then I am gonna have a good idea (I hope) as to who and what I wanna be.. (pilot) then I will graba drop and get to work!

VR training untill i get up to level 5 for sure. Playing after work and on my days off average out to be around 10 hours a day so I should reach level 5 in no time. :domotwak:

Well this depends when it is.

If in exclusive beta (ppff yeah right :rolleyes: ) explore and experiment to try and get those pesky bugs out, grab max certs, grab gear, go frag and find bugs.

If in open beta, grab my max certs, get the gear, go frag.

If in full game, VR a bit, grab max certs, get the gear, go frag.

I'll likely spend the max amount of time I can in VR to make the character as viable as possible before heading out. That'll give me a chance to get used to/set up the controls the way I like.

Then I think its time for a ride in the country. Study maps and the interfaces for nav & terrain, vehicle performance ranges etc. Get a good feel for the world in general.

Pretty likely I'll try that for the various groups to see and test their weapons and get a feel for what I may be up against. What weaknesses, vulnerabilities and strengths the enemy has that can be exploited and then take to killin'.

Then maybe try and get certs for repair and piloting. I'll be a big flyin mobile mechanic.

At that time, I will be spawn camped by a few NC lamers. How? I don't know. Maybe it's the devs. :(

I'd rather do VR to get 2 certs, hacking and an aircraft cert. that way i can run around taking bases b/c every will be still doing the VR training.

Hell no. I'll just have no clue what each weapon/vehicle does. As soon as I found some things I liked, I would use them. Or, at least know what I will use when I get enough BEPs. ;)

Well so far most of the people here said "VR train to get all my ranks" or something like that. I myself will probably VR 10 mins to get the feel (and even then maybe less) then head out for some action. Nothing like learning by error. :p

Exactly Dio, but if you rush into the game before without transport or a vehicle i think that you might have to do quite a bit of hiking, I dont think that anyone will be rushing to others sanctuaries, just so they can die to a mass of newbies =P

You start off with basic certs. The game doesn't force you to VR train just to play that would be stupid. Basic weapons are a free cert and you get enough points for 2 other certs i believe. Something like that anyway.

Gamespy Preview said their characters got basic weapon certs and 2 certs they could allocate anyway they chose to.

perhaps it's a bit of jumping to conclusions but i don't think after reading that it's not too far outside the realm of believability to think we'll have at least 2 certs starting.

I started uber, so I picked whatever certs I wanted :p

They were talking about starting people off with a vehicle cert (probably quad I'd assume) so you wont get stranded. I dont know if they will/or have done this yet
