Woha!!! The Thresher is....

GREAT!

I can't believe people been bashign this, its great, I only recently became a Vanu and I was TR before, I can drive this on full throtle out of the vehicle bay and get no damage, dunno if they changed something, going over bumps sometimes does give damage but its minimal, otherwise this thing rules!

The handling is super and strafin too, this and Magrider = teh PWNAGE!

You left out that the weapon on it sucks at the armor is thinner than paper hehe.

The magrider is by far the best vehical cert you can get for the vanu. I recommend you drop the thresher and pick up magrider and engineering. Magrider can be used without a gunner, just running over people. Hell i even use it as a mine sweeper to let other vehicals into a base. Just straf over the mines, hop out, repair, get back into the battle.

I think it isn't good at all. The Enforcer and Marauder fire off explosive projectiles of doom, whereas the Thresher just has the whole energy weapon thing. The only thing it's really good for is shooting down aircraft, as like the MagRider the rare times it actually has a gunner, the main gun has no arc of fire.

Warborn have you ever tried shooting down a reaver with a thresher? Those balls of energy move SLOWLY. Sure they go pretty straight but really friggin slow. It sucks at just about anything except shooting a stationary target or the broad side of a base.

My biggest beef with the thresher is that it's so unstable. It bobs around soo much, especially off-road. It's most manuverable in 1st person mode, but if it's rough terrain it will make you seasick (i really feel for the gunner). So if you off-road, you need to go 3rd person view or bring a barf bag.

The other empire assault buggies handle much better off road than the thresher (thresher is sold as the most manuverable).

Other than the annoying uncontroled bobbing, the thresher is a fine vehicle. I love being able to by-pass bridges and out straif everything.

Playing an anti-vehical NC, I've discovered that I fear the VS vehicals, but crap my pants at the TR's.

I don't know much about playing against the NC vehicals, but I've heard they're pretty tough to take down.

I saw three today, must be a new record, and when I hit BR 8 there will be one more Thresher goign around, at the moment I have MA/HA/RES so next up is Thresher or Maggy

The enforcer is by far the best buggy, the marauder is good because it can tranport 3 people but it's weapon sucks. The Thresher is ok from what I've seen...like 2...

The Thresher is very cool looking(and alot of fun to drive), but it is absolute trash. The Thresher is waaaaaay to brittle, just going over bumps or pulling off of the veh pad too quickly will damage the thing significantly. The Harasser is more useful that the Thresher imo.
