Question about the Liberator.

Now we have all seen the art for it and it looks kind of cool, but other than quickly taking out an enemy AMS what use will it have? Ground forces are usually too spread out for bombing to do any good. The only time they are ever concentrated is in the courtyard of a base and a bombing run might kill them but there is always an AMS nearby so you might get that courtyard clear for what 2 minutes(yes that might be all you need it cleared for)? Unless they change the game coding it wont affect anything or anyone inside the base/tower other than gun turrets and those are easily repaired and rarely occupied. Now with the forward guns and aft turret it might be a bit hard to shoot down unless you get the drop on him from the top side but it isnt really meant to be in a dog fight.

Other than a real easy way to rack up a ton of grief points, I guess I am going to have to wait to see it in action before I decide if its any good or not.

You're being extremely negative about it. It will have a lot of application I'm sure, and ground forces frequently bunch up in PS. Just relax and wait for the thing to be released, I'm sure you will not be disappointed (or will be disappointed, if you're hoping it will suck).

It will be useful for attacking certain chokepoints i.e Front entrance to bases, Towers, Ant/Ams runs.

Hehehe, think about Reavers for a second, ok remember how much they are a pain in the ass, how they pwn your tanks and shit? Now picture those same Reavers side by side with more powerful Reavers.

Ill use bullet points for this...

* Big ass fight for a bridge near a Bas
* Bridge battle is even, no one is budging, AMS's on each side etc
* Reaver get shot down fast ebcause all sorts of people there, you could cross river using deliverer or Threher/Magrider but you would be an easy target

SO WHAT DO YOU DO?

You fly up very hidh, line up with bridge and tell your bombardier to elt it all go

Any info yet on payloads? Cluster bombs, Plasma, EMP.
Also, I'd imagine these could only be produced at Dropship Centers. If so, those will become hotly contested.

I think it should be made at dropship centers. Good idea the fights there would be really fun. I think I would be bombing the dropship center then :evil: :twisted: :trrocks: :ncsucks: :vssucks:
