It wasn't my amazing PC *dances*

Well basically I used the chat thingie to talk to a SOE guy called Joel, he said that lock ups and my power save problem are being looked at (they are related somehow)

He said he can't help me fix it, they are working on it but he had suggestion that may stop it happening he said two things:

Close down background applications & swap the PC fan

Dunno if he meant check if the PC is overheating but I will check anyway, I wans't runnin any programs when I play though so thats not one fo the probs...

Here is the convo if you wanna read it:

You have been connected to CSR Joel S..

CSR Joel S.: Hello Phil, Thank you for contacting Sony Online Entertainment. One
moment please, while I read your question. Thank You!

CSR Joel S.: The problem you have does not have a solid solution at this point
we can give you some suggestions that have worked for others though

Phil Vieira: Right I would be gratefull for that, can I explain my other problem
as well?

CSR Joel S.: go for it
Phil Vieira: Right, well when I play PlanetSide sometimes my computer suddenly
goes into Power Saving mode and a weird crackling noise is emited from the
speakers, I have to reboot each time, sometimes it only happens only in a day
other times its very frequent, I heard some others have it too, do you know
anyhting about this?

CSR Joel S.: Yes I have been working with development and others with this issue

Phil Vieira: Oh ok, I was just wondering if it was my machine that had a problem
because its over the recommended specs and I been messing around with game
options but it won't fix it, well thanks for clearing that up for me, do you
have any idea when this may be fixed?

CSR Joel S.: No ETA is available at the moment, but I will give you a few
suggestions.

Phil Vieira: Thank you, go ahead

CSR Joel S.: you may want to try to add another fan to cool the PC, that has
helped some people with this issue, also try to disable background applications

Phil Vieira: Ok then I will give the fan a look, I had already tried the
background applications though, thank you very much for your help, about the
lock ups, you got any suggestions for those?

CSR Joel S.: the 2 are related

Phil Vieira: ah ok, well then thats it from me, thanks alot for your help and
another thing, tell the devs not to let those childish guys over at the official
forums get to them =)
Phil Vieira: bye
