ok i was in a huge fight last night and we lost unfrotunatly. But just before when the enemy breached our tower, there MAX's come running down the stairs, stand in front of the spanw tubes and kill everyone before they get a chance to get out. Then u have to wait an extra how ever long it is. it does get pretty boring watching a time count down over and over. But the point is that when people respawn they should have an invincibility sheild around them. I mean a MAX Vs. Standard armor and standard suppressor is pathetic. The sheild would last for about 10 secs. to run over to the terminal, grab equipment and fight.
As soon as u shoot or hack or whatever the sheild is off, to give the other guy a chance to. I mean this sort of thing happens in all other games.
I.E asherons call, you respawn u get an invinciblity timer of 2 minutes!! so u can go get lost equipment. I havent plaued EQ but i am SURE it has that to. Or at least i hope it does.

Not that hard to blow the tubes..However, if it is a TR base..screw the tubes I wanna blow them away.
If its NC I would be more inclined to blow the tubes instead of camping them.

Spawn camping is a legitimate tactic as it slows down the rate at which enemies respawn in addition to creating boatloads of exp. If you know the tubes are camped it's time to find a difrent palce to respawn. An invincibility timer whould be retarted as then people could go to inventory term, get a desolator, sight in on the max, fire. Boom MAX is dead or mostly dead.

One thing I do think should be removed is the spawn time increases. It's a pretty useless feature as all it does is frustrate people having to wait ages to respawn.

No kidding, you can die way to fast in this game...its to "promote smart playing"..but it does not matter when you can get killed by something before you can even react (Hello Mister lame cheesy arse pounder).
...Can die to fast and to often for this to stay in.

in that fifteen second timer or 10 or whatever you cant fire, so somone cant go grab a DECIMATOR and walk up to a MAX and aim, he can do that, but cant fire untill the sheild is off. That way its even

If spawn is camped, go somewhere else, if nowhere else to spawn, go back to sanc and get an AMS (your squad should have one anyway ;)
Spawn camping is a good tactic if you can get numbers and force down there

The real problem is that the pounder kills infantry to fast...

I dont thinkyou can blow tubes in towers... and if you're spawning over and over again. Then i think thats whats pathetic. Like you don't have the sense not to spawn there. If MAXs are owning your tube that means you lost. Spawn somewhere else and stop feeding them.
Nullifying the spawn tube camp would be totally gay.

You can destroy the tubes in towers, their no different then any other spawn tubes, but yeah, I think nulling the spawn camp would be a bad move. Besides, they already have a "guard" against MAXs, those lock things...they might not work alot but you can still have more time to live long enough.

I hate spawn campers. But its is part of the game, it would be impossible to take a tower without it, and towers are already a bitch to take

No it doesn't. It's the TR Anti-Infantry MAX - of course it will take them down fast. But so does the NC AI-MAX and the Vanu one (kind of :P).

And the main word in that sentence is "kind of"
The fact is that the TR AI max owns all infantry indoors, while the vanu AI max have problems even outdoors, where its supposed to be good.
Also, the fact is that the TR AI max has a wide area of explosion and sick damage, which is just perfect for camping against infatry, and our AI max can hit ONE target at a time, and has a smaller clip size (or so i think).
So therefor i can tell you beyond any doubt that the TR AI max kills infantry WAY faster than the other two. Infact your AV max does it faster...
But thank god, thats bieng solved...

When I said "kind of" I meant just the vanu. :D
The NC one is actually pretty good. It's only really effective at close range, but it totally eats through infantry. It's better than the pounder indoors because you end up hurting yourself more than the enemy with that.
So yet again, the Vanu have got the short straw. The NC and TR are pretty even overall, they both excel in their own areas.. but the Vanu seem to have a disadvantage in the weapons department.
