I play VS, and I'm constantly getting owned by aircraft. But when I get my l33t reaver cert, those cheatin' TR and NC just blow me the hell up! Waaaaaaaa!

I would use the Striker or Phoenix over the lancer anyday, but you dont hear me bitching. VS does not have as good Anti-Air units as NC/TR(Burster is awsome, played TR in beta alot).

But any anti-air shortcomings will be nulled by the SkyGuard.
Which personally I hope is EXTREAMLY overpowered against air units (Paybacks a bitch you f00king reaver noobies)

Please don't bring OF like whinning here, I haven't got a Lancer cert but guess what, my Lasher PWNS a Reaver, it just has to be stationary or moving slowly :p

Lasher PWNS anything indoors except Jackhammer
Lancer PWNS for AI even though its meant to be AV
Beamer...PWNS to clear mines

Of course the Jackhammer is > than all. I'm TR, but I'm tired of everyone whining about that uber weapon. Suck it up, learn HW, and fill your locker with them. So many NC's use them on Markov that I was able to get close to 10 into my locker in a one hour Tower battle. So, there's no excuse for my fellow TRs or even Vanu players to whine.

However, I'd have to disagree with the Lasher comment above. I regularly use the cycler, and I love finding VS Lasher users in doors - I have yet to be defeated by a one on one Lasher vs. Cycler battle.

In the end, it all comes down to how well you play I guess. *shrugs* :trrocks:

Every battle with a Cycler I have won...either youa re fighting agaisnt crap players or your good, because Lasher pwns infantry very fast

If you've played on VS (like me), you'll find it so incredibly funny and amusing to dodge the still slow moving projectiles called Lasher orbs and mow them down with anything else. It's especially funny if you have a bit of room and use the Supressor. :D

I know. If people want to say they make uber killz with the Lasher and that it doesn't need a buff - I don't care anymore, even if it is by far the worst HA weapon. More killz for me. :D

Coz it is true that most VS players use it... All our empire weaps are simply to sucky...

The only of our weaps i think is good, is the lancer, but it suffers from low dmg versus tanks (its fucking way harder to hit with than that guided striker, therefor the extra clip size is more than nullified.)

The good thing about it is its sniper capabilities, but for that it has a to small clip to be really REALLY usefull...

Yes it has good infantry damage, but it fires to slow to be really effective indoors.

And it isnt guided, so forget hitting moving reavers...

Despite all of this, its good at range... You just need to have a AMS nearby for refills.

Striker has alot of neat tricks to use with it!
Pheonix is uber crazy, see all the eople run away thinking it was NC coming when i was flying my pheonix! Lance, eh not that good, i use it against infantry to knock em back away from their advantages positions.

Have you ever tried the VS AA MAX? It's easily the best AA MAX. The sparrow (NC) comes close but it's still not as good IMO. And the TR is only good if you pratice enough with it and you can keep line of sight.

NC AA max is sooooooooooooo much better than vs aa max in actual practice. It is just so hard to keep the reticle on the reaver when they hit afterburners and dive for cover. With the NC max you just get lock once and it maintains even once the reaver is out of site.


I hate the phoenix, would never use one. Striker is nice but it lacks any signficant use vs infantry. Lancer is overall the best AV weapon IMHO.
