I've always had this crazy idea of becoming an underground weapons dealer... I could supply enemy factions with anything and everything they need, and I could have a couple MAXes around incase the deal went bad. :p

Of course, the Terran Republic would probably hunt me down and skin my alive... :o A guy can dream though.

That's why you do your dealings out of the trunk of a Sunderer or Galaxy, inside a warp bubble. It's been done, I've never seen it.. I have no problem with it.. Especially if it stops those people from whining a little more :)

what we do is fill the trunks of vehicles with all the shit, meet at a specified point and trade vehicles

Exactly. Weapons of all types are easy to come by. This would be awesome for trading vehicles. :D My entire outfit would be up for this.

About the only thing i could see trading is vehicles. To get as many jackhammers as you want you can go to any big fight at a tower and they will be littering the ground. But it aint that easy getting other empire's vehicles.

Problem with getting vehicles is that people are too paranoid about people like me who get great pleasure in jacking an unattended vehicle.

I had the thresher cert for a week just so i could drive a maurader (my favorite vehicle in beta)... and I was only able to get 2 mauraders. And not for lack of trying.

finding something at a battle is OK but getting something in mass from a trade with a cocane seller of the opposite empire is better

Such trades could even be conducted on a cross-empire value basis. For example, perhaps 2 cross-empire outfits consider 1 Vanguard to be worth 2 Prowlers or vice versa. Such a thing could easily be conducted, and I'm sure no dev would consider this to be "exploiting" anything. Not too long ago my outfit traded 1 Prowler for 1 Magrider. This trade was also not conducted within the safety of a warp bubble. Good times and great outfit photos were achieved by both parties. :)

I'd just put the stuff in the boot, surround the area in front of the vehicle with boomers then blow the git sky-high and steal all his weapons when he drives forward. Or when the Liberator is in the game, be 1 minute late for the meeting and bomb the crap out of the guy (who's just standing in an unknown area)

Too bad we can't hide MAXes effectively. Conducting a trade then having 20 stealthed MAXes come out of stealth mode would absolutely make someone pee their pants. :D

I saw a stealth MAX on Friday night. I asked the guy about it, he said that he'd been wearing the infil suit and then changed to MAX and some graphic glitch was keeping the stealth on. I don't know if he was telling the truth or not but he was definitely a MAX, and it was wild to see the blurry shape as he ran which then disappeared as soon as he stopped.

Interesting. Last night while defending the CC room of a particular base. I kept getting hit by what appeared to be a scatter pistol (sp). So, of course, I turned Darklight on, and there was absolutely NOTHING in the CC room! When I finally died - it showed that I was killed by an NC player wielding the Sweeper Shotgun. Has this happened to anyone else? It seems to be an exploit, but I can't be certain because of server instability.
