Tornado Warnings are nothing. I live in Alabama... we have tornados all the time.

Anyway.. you don't really need shelter unless your news station specificly shows the storm in your area.

Ah, it's a tornado newbie!

I used to live in a place that got warnings all the time. One of the freakiest moments in my life to date was driving under what was obviously a wall cloud during one of these.

I'm located in Norman, Oklahoma.. Just south of Moore which has been hit with several tornadoes .. Also the National Severe Storms Laboratory (the place the issues all warnings) is about half a mile from my house :)

A warning just means the conditions are right, and you should pay attention to the news/radar. You shouldn't really freak out unless it's right on you. Tornadoes mean serious business.. Been through several in my life.

Actually a tornado warning doesn't necessarily mean a tornado is down. Or that one even exists really. In fact, last week we had a tornado warning and there wasn't even a wall cloud. Only what the spotters called a "Shelf Cloud."

We get tornado warnings in my state at least once a week.. But only real tornadoes every month or so..

haha.. I'm not sure.. Never heard of anyone losing a limb, but I've seen very many pictures of odd objects that have been lodged into something hard. Like spraypaint into a tree.. They always say an F5 tornado can shoot a blade of grass into a concrete slab, but I'm not sure that that's accurate..

Twister, that movie, was actually filmed in my state :) The town in the movie.. Wewoka I believe? Is a real town, and that really happened.
