Here's the deal:
1,300$ canadian (or there abouts) to spend on a new comp.
Need to know the exact specifications I should have to make PS work at high levels on a 56k. Im talking everything from Cpu to cooling system, thanks.

Well I am not good with spec'ing out systems in CA dollars. But you defintely want to go AMD route. My guess is thats about $600-$700 US?
Suggest:
ABIT NFS-7 rev 2.0 mb
AMD XP2600/333
2x512 PC3200 Corsair XMS or Kingston HyperX DDR modules
Thermalright AX-7 heatsink + 80mm quiet fan
Maxtor DiamondMax 9 120gig/8meg cache
ATI Radeon 9500 Pro
The above should be about $700 US. Now if you also need something like case, powersupply, cdrom, floppy, etc. Thats about another $125-150 US.
You can do something like get 512 ram now and 512 later to boost your performance. The chip/mb combo gives your one of the better price/performance combinations out. As that Abit board will let your oc that XP2600 to 200+ fsb and about 2.2 ghz or greater speed. The HD is also higher end, so if you need to get cheaper its not that big a deal.
